well, there are 4 very close to the pool, 1 on the deckchair. Alan is awake and John must be sleeping in his bed or already doing healthy things lol sooo as you all noticed Cooper had his shirt when he was dragged (i guess?) into the pool earlier, I'd say he could be the one with the shirt on the left side of the pool. But only Colin knows lol (who's ready to go ask the whole cast so we can close that very very important case? anyone?)
Either way I believe we will get a pool scene eventually... possibly with his shirt off
Okay! So we got a lot of opinions and ideas here... First things first, we must answer the question: IS Colin one of the hungover pool corpses?
I believe he is. There are FIVE passed out astronauts around the pool:
We know Alan Shepard is NOT one of them, and it’s most likely that John Glenn is the astronaut who is missing entirely. Probably taking a nap back in his room or something, lol. That means Gordo (and therefore, Colin) IS one of these 5.
We’ll start with the easiest one - Body #4, which is shown the clearest just as the scene begins, floating on the pool float.
Now, I’ll be honest. On first watch, just seeing this dude for one single second, I actually thought it was Colin. But on closer inspection and when rotated for better viewing, it appears to be Aaron Staton / Wally Schirra. Also, the swim trunks and chest hair match Aaron’s, as seen when he was in the lounge chair:
Body #2 is also easy to identify, as we get a nice close look at his back and his face in profile.
That’s our pal Micah Stock / Deke Slayton.
Which leaves us with bodies 1, 3, and 5. Now, one might think to themselves, “We can’t see anything of Body #5, so how can we identify who it is? Ah, but that’s actually the next one we ARE going to identify. We can see three of the five mens’ swim trunks in the shots before the aftermath shot - the two men we’ve already identified... and James Lafferty’s:
You can see just enough of them here, and in the underwater shots after Deke tackles Scott, to know they’re a dark brown. Neither Body #1 nor Body #3 are wearing dark brown swim trunks - meaning James Lafferty / Scott Carpenter is Body #5.
Which leaves us with Bodies #1 and #3. We can’t use their swim trunks to identify either of them, because we didn’t SEE their swim trunks at any time other than right there in the aftermath. However, when Alan is talking to the Life reporter, we do get this almost decent shot of Body #3:
That looks like Michael Trotter to me, more so than Colin - and there is also the fact that in the one very brief shot where Gordo was shown IN the pool, Colin had a white t-shirt on - same as Body #1. So it is with approximately 99% certainty that I am declaring that THIS is Colin O’Donoghue, starfishing like a champion with his cute little tushy sticking out, right here:
EITHER THAT, or there is a 1% chance that this is a stand-in or perhaps even Patrick J. Adams / John Glenn, and Colin is actually over on the other side of the pool, under the water, either drowning... or farting:
