It's intriguing that a couple of the IG posts from the awards show are bringing up the Superman rumor again... And Colin still hasn't squashed the rumor, either. Hmm...
I got a couple Asks about this, so I’m just gonna answer ‘em all in this answer, because I’d say pretty much the same thing to all of ‘em ;)
I do find the comments about Superman interesting, as it proves the spec is definitely still alive and well, but I’m not putting too much stock in any of it. The Irish press is definitely embracing the idea of a hometown hero like Colin ending up the next Superman, but I’m not sure it’s anything more than wishful thinking based on those William Hill betting odds that were published awhile back. I definitely don’t think there’s been anything NEW to fuel the speculation, or else we would’ve likely heard about it.
And I’m still not convinced that the “betting odds” aren’t just manufactured nonsense by men sitting in offices making complete and total guesses - since the posted “odds” differ so much in the UK versus the US.
Although the fact that Colin hasn’t said anything against the rumors IS interesting... same as the fact that Kiss Me Judas is still up on IMDB. In both cases, you’d think someone, somewhere would eventually notice it and be like, “Oh, that’s not right...” and say/do something about it, but who knows?
The speculation shall continue until we have all the answers!!!

Our precious peanut, Colin O’Donoghue, will be presenting an award at Ireland’s National Lottery Good Causes Awards this year! The category he’ll be presenting is Arts & Culture!
The ceremony takes place on Saturday, Nov. 3rd, in Dublin! Which means our Colin is going to be back in Ireland - maybe his secret project in Georgia is done filming now? We’ll have to wait and see!
Even more excitingly for all of us fans, the ceremony will be shown on Virgin Media One on Sunday, Nov. 11th. Since this channel is only available in Ireland, we need some dedicated Colin fans in his homeland to record the ceremony and share it online so we all can see him do his part!
