Happy International Women’s Day! (March 8)
Time is chasing after all of us.
Look how perfectly they could’ve lived together…

alone we can do so little; together we can do so much
Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mothers out there! :D
Sometimes I like to think about how if James and Lily had survived they would’ve been grandparents in their early forties like can you imagine James taking his namesake to the park and someone cooing over him and the baby like, “Your son is adorable,” and he tells them, “Grandson, actually,” and they think he’s joking until James Sirius catches his attention by saying, “Grandad!”
#REBLOGGING BC JAMES OFFICIALLY WOULD’VE BEEN A GRANDPARENT AT 44#WHICH IS IN EQUAL PARTS AMUSING BOTH BC HE WOULD BE PRESIDENT OF THE HOT GRANDDAD CLUB#AND ALSO BC CAN YOU IMAGINE HOW MUCH IT WOULD FREAK JAMES OUT THAT HIS BEST MATE’S SON WAS ONLY A FEW YEARS OLDER THAN HIS GRANDSON#‘LILY OUR BABY HAS A BABY’#‘LILY WE’RE OLD’#‘JAMES WE SHAGGED IN BATHILDA’S ROSE BUSHES YESTERDAY WE’RE NOT OLD’ (via prongsmydeer)

Science says you’re dead and gone forever. Reason says I’m talking to the air. But somewhere in my heart, some secret hidden part, illogically insists that you are there. Somewhere.
It’s weird when you age past 21 because only then do you understand how young Lily and James were when they died
AU: James and Lily take Harry for his First year Hogwarts’ shopping and see him off at King’s Cross.
Harry was named after his Great Grandfather Henry “Harry” Potter who spoke for the Muggle community during the first world war. Can you imagine Lily and James trying to decide what to name their child. My headcanon is this: They were in the middle of a war against a murderous sociopath who was screaming for the destruction of the entire muggle world and anyone or anything associated with it. So they decide to name their son Harry, after brave, good Henry Potter who stood for the muggles and fought for them. I don’t think when they chose the name they knew of the prophecy. I think they chose the name because Harry was their beacon of hope and a reason better than any to fight. In the midst of so much darkness their was still love and light and Harry was proof of that. They would stand for muggles, like Henry did. And by naming their son Harry they were making a permanent stand. They were telling the whole world on exactly what side of the war they stood, exactly who they fought for.
