{ 真実 } As much as people always tried to keep things under wraps, he knew how well that ended up. Even before the student council was attacked, rumors were constantly flying. It was that easy to scoop up gossip on the latest happenings between people and places. Back then, Makoto had thought only a bit of it, chalking it up to just the usual pokings of tabloids and stuff, but now...ugh. To think that Kamukura was more or less right and people would willingly ignore stuff like this. Now, whenever his coworkers tried to get cagey in their reports, it irritated him to no end. As Kirigiri dryly noted in a conversation to him once, it was their division that should get hand in determining what info is withheld if the situation required it, just as much as it was the higher-ups. How frustrating...

Should he really be this honest about it to Kamukura? Probably not. But it was something he had to get off his chest.

{ 真実 } He’s no stranger to conversations like these. Back in the old days (were they really old now? huh), many a student would wander into his office, usually with something troubling them on their minds. Even with his incredible workload, he’d always find time to sit down and talk with them. Even the action alone helped to unravel the mess, sometimes.

“You don’t have to put anything in it if it’s too much of a hassle. I can drink it black no problem.” That’s a slight lie - while he’s used to the taste due to many long nights at the Future Foundation, if given the choice he’d prefer a little sweetener. That being said, he has a feeling he might need the extra caffeine kick.

“Then let’s start there, Saihara-kun. Obviously, Assassin’s behavior is not acceptable under the current norms, but think about it. Why is it so annoying to you in particular? And the way you describe him as being a fanboy - you have to have a reason for picking that as the comparison.”

{ 真実 } “That’s what I’m trying to tell you. Since I haven’t met Assassin yet, it’s hard to say what you should do to deal with him. I can at least safely guess that he’s much more unwieldy than Archer ever will be - and any of my other known classes, although we won’t get into that.”

Ruler crosses his arms at that, before continuing to speak in that matter-of-fact tone. It’s kind of like a teacher having discussions with a student. “Then why don’t you go ahead and do so?  Clearly, a discussion over coffee is in order, although I can’t say that caffeine will help calm your nerves.”

{ 真実 } “First off, six cups a day isn’t going to do the trick. If you can figure out how to take care of Assassin, you should only need three. Secondly...what is it that Assassin is specifically doing? I can’t say I’d be of much help because Archer is quite easy to get along with, but if Assassin is causing trouble that has to be addressed first.”
