The rebellious teen says as he looks into cold steel grey eyes as if he expected the same damn rejection as he always got. And when it didn't come, Gokudera reconsidered what he'd always thought of the Mafia.
A hand reached out, worn and covered in blood, a silent reassurance that his secret was safe that he didn't have to keep running, he didn't have to hide the fact he was from an affair, that he was merely human underneath the tough Mafia exterior.
Two worlds collided that day, the fury of a Storm met the gentleness of the solitary Cloud and for once it felt comfortable, for once it felt familiar, to Gokudera it felt like home. Perhaps this was exactly where he belonged? Perhaps this was what he'd searched for all along. Someone who wouldn't judge, someone who wouldn't question him, someone who would be there and not say a word.
Sometimes home isn't a roof, four walls and a floor, sometimes it's a simple comfortable silence and a hand reaching out in your darkest hour, and for someone like Gokudera that was all he needed.
