Hekáte, Guardian at the Gate,

Sacred guide to those at the Crossroads,

You lead the lone traveler.

Philǽrimos, Mother Goddess,

You stand alone in peace and teach us to as well,

You bring comfort in our solitude.

Hekáte, Queen of Witches,

Mother of All, Keeper of the Cosmos,

I humbly thank You for always providing for my needs.

Ækátî, lovely one, brazen and brave,

Monoyænís, neverending in Your mysteries,

Hekáte, of one thousand names, Goddess of All,

Hear our praise of You, Mother and join us upon our pathway.

Speak her name, Enodia.

Hekáte, Mother of the Crossroads,

Speak her name, Trivia.

Hekáte, Queen of the Cosmos,

Speak her name, Phosphoros.

Hail Hekáte! We speak Your name!

Hekáte sometimes I don't understand Your signs,

Sometimes I don't know if I am making the right choices,

Sometimes I don't know if I am doing what pleases You,

Still I keep my feet firmly on Your pathway,

Still I keep my fingers tangled in Your robes,

Still I devote myself to You again and again,

Hekáte, beautiful Mother of All

I worship You at the hem of Your saffron cloak,

Krokópæplos, bathed in moonlight,

I humbly thank You for teaching me the mysteries of Your cosmos.

I started as a wiccan when I was 12 after buying Raymond Buckland's Complete Book of Witchcraft. From there it was a journey to find my place and the pathway that felt right beneath my feet.

Becoming a neopagan and practicing elemental witchcraft along with devoting myself to Hekáte is what made me feel at home.

My suggestion to anyone starting out is don't feel like you must practice in any specific way. Read lots of material, observe rituals, research deities. When you feel it in your heart you will know it's right.

Talk to them, offer a bit of yourself to them, make your intentions known and then watch for their signs.

Hello and blessings to you! I have PTSD so I can relate to feeling like our mental health may get in the way of our devotion. A beautiful thing about Hekáte is She meets us where we are at, on our journey and our crossroads.

Keep doing what you feel you can and listen for Her. She will guide you. Create an altar space for the two of Y/you to commune and try to do something small to connect with Her each day.

November 16th is Hekáte's Night. This is a modern pagan feast night celebrating the Queen of Witches. Create a meal to share with Her, make her an offering and especially do something kind for or in honor of dogs.
