they had to retcon apollo and midnighter being jenny's dads because otherwise this team up would've ended in a bloodbath.
midnighter might kill people, but the only time he ever hit his kid was when he was under mind control. and he immediately fought through it and told apollo to kill him. bruce wayne could never.
