1) Something old: A blurb from one of the first fics you’ve ever written.
But they were really bad. I think I deleted most of them (hopefully).
2) Something new: A snippet from something you’re currently working on, or from the last thing you posted.
Okay so I recently wrote a finale inspired AU where Kensi and Deeks are the ones trapped in the submarine, but Idk about posting it. I might get somebody to glance over it for me and tell me if I should share or not. Here's a blurb:
"And stop saying that, Deeks. Please." She sat down, wrapped her arms around herself and looked away from him.
He stood up and moved to sit next to her. "Sorry."
"What I was going to say was... Well, I was surprised when you gave the knife back to me. I thought you wanted more than our partnership, friendship, whatever."
"And when you saw Talia today you thought it was because I'd met somebody else," he surmised, the pieces falling into place. She nodded, shrugging a little. "But I thought a knife was just a knife?"
"Then why did you act like our thing was over?"
"I didn't. And I thought you understood that when you said the knife was still sharp and let me open the box."
"Something was obviously lost in translation."
3) Something borrowed: A scene or section of dialogue from another writer’s story. Maybe something that inspired you or resonated with you. (Credit the writer and link to it if possible, please.)
He hears the sweetest sound in the world: the loveliest voice shouting "federal agents." He thinks about standing up but that's just setting up the horrible ironic moment when he gets shot right in front of his wife. He's already been shot, he doesn't need another bullet.
But he does say loudly, "Over here, please."
"Deeks?" That is definitely Kensi.
"Marco?" He amuses himself. It's a sign of his strong character and wit and resilience that he makes these jokes. He's also missing teeth, criminally underweight and probably unattractive to look at, he's got to offer a little more.
"Oh, Polo, fucking damn it," Kensi says as she rounds the car.

4) Something blue: C’mon, you know you’ve written a really gut-wrenching bit of angst at some point. Let’s hear the saddest or angstiest thing you’ve got. Alternatively? Tell us about the last time you described the color blue.
Surprise! It's a Tiva drabble!
She will have a boy and a girl.
He can see them now; a little Ziva and a miniature him, a brown eyed little girl and a boy with fluffy hair. She will be a princess, and him a jock. She will dance, she will own her own pony, she will travel wherever her little heart desires. Her nursery will be painted with pink queens and kings on the walls, and she will be so loved. He will be a momma's boy, constantly smiling, and he will buy his son a new movie every month.
She's kissing him goodbye, and she's smiling. And he knows he will never see her again. And their kids will never be, and he'll be lucky if he ever gets another phone call. And she is alone and he is alone, and that's how they will remain.
(At least they're alone together.)
