friendly reminder for anyone who thinks that super junior are just “business partners”

the members carried the caskets at the funeral for leeteuk’s family members, after his dad killed his grandparents and then himself. they didn’t show up to get fame or glory. they were there to support leeteuk, their leader, their friend, and their brother.

this wasn’t a wedding, an ordinary funeral, or another photo-worthy moment. this was one of the hardest funerals a person could ever face, but they were there.

please remember this before you accuse them of being fake. super junior have been through more horrible things in their time together than every other band in the kpop industry and half the world.

kyuhyun and hyuk STILL live together, heechul moved out of the dorm in anticipation of when it’ll be empty in a few months and then proceeded to talk about how much he misses ryeowook and donghae and how he doesn’t know what to do without him, they’ve been together ten years and they choose to be together ten years - so many of them could have left ages ago and done something they actually get recognition for in korea and china and they chose not to, 80% of their sns has references to other members in hashtags, even when they don’t see each other, they are constantly talking to each other, last year siwon spent a huge amount of time filming in china and the entire time he was on twitter being sad that he couldn’t be with the rest of the group and that he was missing swing promotions - like this idiot could not stop smiling on the day he finally got to go home. no one is like that if they care more for their individual activities than the group, if they’re more invested business-wise than being with each other.

And let’s not forget the time they had a car accident in 2007, wherein when Jun Jin and his manager were pulling Leeteuk out of the car, he was crying and yelling at them to save the members first to the point where Jun Jin yelled back at him and got mad. Leeteuk kept crying and asked them to get the other members instead of him.

And that moment when Kyuhyun thought he was going to die, Eunhyuk ran over to him and prayed with him, all the while with tears in his own eyes. Now tell it straight to my face that their relationship with one another is nothing but fake.

What they have is brotherhood. What we have is FAMILY.
