No no, see, star trek tos isn't *low budget*, it looks like that because of technical limitations of the time. Tos is *high budget* 60s sci-fi. If you want to see some Real grunch take a look at classic who & you'll find there's a Noticeable Difference. And we love them both
Star trek tos was the best sci-fi you could get at the time, on a technical level. Tos had all kinds of, like, sets and props and models and matte paintings and shit. The costuming could be a little rocky in season one but it still all had to be made specifically for the show. Yknow. Etc. 60s tv just had a different flavor to it. You hop across the pond and doctor who is throwing a trashcan at that old man
