Chapter 6:
AVOIDANCE AND NEW FAMILY MEMBERS
Dinner had gone surprisingly well, despite all the worries that had plaged Juvias mind.
Gajeel had managed to stop with the glares and actually held a decent conversation with Gray. Not that he had much of a choice, Juvia knew that Levy had been secretly kicking him under the table since she accidentally kicked her instead of Gajeel. Four times.
But it was all right. After all she had managed to make Gajeel behave and Juvia was very thankful for that, because Gray had seemed much more comfortable and relaxed. If all she had to do was deal with a few blueish bruises on her legs, then it was really fine by her.

Once Juvia recalled that Lucy was at the infirmary hopefully being healed, she quickly realised this couldn’t be her. “Who are you?”
“I’m Lucy.” There was a certain sadness to this woman which Juvia knew too well.
“Lucy is currently at the infirmary.” The water mage raised a brow.
“I’m another version of her.” Before she could ask, Lucy explained it. “From the future.”
This detail would shock and confuse many people, but not Juvia. “How far into the future?”
The celestial mage seemed surprised by her reaction. “A few days.”
“Why did you come back?” Juvia assumed something horrible must’ve happened. Her stomach churned at the thought of what it could be.
“I can’t tell you yet.” Lucy sighed. “I don’t want to interfere with the Games.”
The water mage raised a brow. “Then why are you talking to me?”
“Because I know who you are.”
Now this had her shook. However, she quickly recomposed herself, offering a deadpan look. “That being?”
Lucy’s pain and anger were clear as day. “I know you’re from Alvarez and you’ve been lying to everyone.”
Not good. “I see.” Juvia took in a sharp breath. “Did Doranbolt tell you that?”
The celestial mage seemed confused for a moment. “No, Zeref did.”
Zeref? Tell her the truth? The water mage shook her head. “That makes no sense.”
Lucy sighed. “He helped us when….” Her frown deepened. “I still don’t understand why.”
“He was probably playing you.” Juvia bitterly said.
“Like you were playing us?” Anger returned as the former glared at her.
The latter didn’t have an answer for this. “Did you tell anyone else about this?”
Lucy shook her head. “No.”
“I won’t blame you if you do.” Juvia frowned, dejected. “But I’d appreciate it if you didn’t.”
The celestial mage watched her for a moment once silence fell upon them. Her expression changed from angry back to sorrowful then to sympathetic. “I won’t tell them.”
Juvia was surprised again. “Why?” Why protect me knowing what she does?
“Because I know what happens if I do.” Lucy’s expression made it clear this wasn’t desirable.
The water mage took in a long breath, relieved. “Thank you.”
They talked for a while about other things and Lucy did give further information about the future, but not an explanation of the horrible thing that was meant to happen. She made it clear that her intention was to tell everyone soon.
Their conversation was interrupted by a shout coming from a guard. Lucy suddenly fled, leaving Juvia with the promise of meeting again soon. A promise which would be broken, but they didn’t know that yet.

Gajeel now had 2 annoying and majorly stupid problems *cough cough Gray and Natsu* to deal with, a stupid loner who can't man up for fucks sake *cough cough Jellal* and a Spark Plug with a stick shoved so far up his ass that not even Gajeel's Iron Club could reach that *Cough Cough Laxus*, gagging from the mental image he came up with after this thought he shuddered in disgust.
Somehow after trusting Macao and Wakaba to not fuck this up and actually do something fun, Gajeel left the guild hall to go and score some stash (weed) for tonight's pArTy, he would never admit it but he had the stupid urge to smile at finally smoking weed after Phantom lord but he'd rather keep up the scowl he always has while getting his stuff.
An hour of traveling later Gajeel finally reached Oak Town, his ex- guild's dominion, not wanting to get his past shoved into his face he hurriedly made his way to Totamuru's house assuming and hoping that he still stayed in the same place even after all this time. After reaching the door of his house Gajeel paused, being hit back by all his memories at this place, his first smoke up, his first make-out and a whole lotta stuff, bringing up his hand to knock the door, he did so and he waited for a minute.
Using his dragon slayer senses he smelled out Totamuru still present there in the house (gladly for Gajeel since now he wouldn't have to hunt his ass down) and the noise of staggering footsteps around the house. Losing his already low patience Gajeel shouted
"TOTAMURU IF YOU DON'T GET YOUR ASS OUT HERE RIGHT FUCKING NOW I'LL BREAK YOUR DOOR DOWN!!!!"
Right as he finished saying this Gajeel transformed his right hand into a mace and tore the door down which somehow happened to be the exact time that Totamuru was at the door just about to open it, Gajeel struck Tot's (yeah i'm calling him tot henceforth since Totamuru is a handful to type repeatedly) in the face which made him fall on the floor, he retaliated with a Flame Spell that Gajeel just took head on with no issues
"Psssshhhttt Natsu spews hotter flames than that when he's asleep"
"Fuck you Gajeel i ain't on some dragon slayer bullshit you know?"
"Yeah yeah shut yo ass down, tell me you still got some weed?"
"Yeah man i got the best shit in all of Fiore WITH THE LEGAL CERTIFICATION"
"I don't even wanna know how you got a legal certification for weed, fuck that, gimme your best stuff make it enough for 3 dragon slayers an S class wizard and an A class wizard with a couple of old timers, now triple that amount giheehehe"
"woah WOAH WOAH WOAH slow down Gaj you haven't smoked in a long time you sure you can handle this? this ain't the same shit we used to smoke back in Phantom Lord this is way more potent maybe like 50 times or a 100 times more, you sure about this"
"Mavis help me, for real? aight don't make it a triple make it a double, there happy?"
"Yeah and that'll be 1,50,000 jewels"
"WHAT THE FUCK TOTAMURU?!?!"
Begrudgingly and after a lot of abuses Gajeel finally paid 1,00,000 jewels for the stuff and left Totamuru's place with a lighter pocket but a heavier happiness.
"These dumbasses better not make me regret this" thought Gajeel as he went off to track down Jellal.

One thing I noticed in Fairy Tail, is that whenever the men are in some kind of trouble, they always think about that one friend that has inspired them the most on their journey and who has helped them become a better person. That said friend is viewed in away that shows they are the light in the men’s eyes and that they are the men’s reason to not give up and to continue living.
PART :- II
Once his parents left him and Natsu alone, Gray slumped on the bed and had his arm covered over his eyes.
"Idiot, you could have told your parents about her. Now that even my problem is solved, then, why can't you disclose your issues?"
Natsu questioned him and towered over the laying figure.
"Shut up! I know what I'm doing. I'm trying to find a perfect time to reveal everything concerning me and Juvia." Gray replied back without facing his friend.
"Gray, please disclose about Juvia's matter before it goes out of hand.
Hope you know what I'm talking about as it not only concerns your life but the future of this kingdom."
Natsu shared his piece of mind and left his friend alone to introspect.
Next day, Gray went to his father's office where he and other ministers were seriously discussing the country's export and import matters.
"Dad, can you spare a minute for me?" He asked casually.
Silver looked at his son, "What do you want, my son? Can't it wait till this meeting gets over?"
Gray simply tried to look unbothered, "No! I want to go hunting. For that, I need your permission. So, can I go?"
Silver raised his eyebrow casting him a suspicious look, "What's with this hunting fiasco? Don't you think you are going hunting every two months and appear nearly after a month? What's really going on with you Gray?"
Gray looked around the room where the council members were giving him a disapproving look.
"Dad, just this once you allow me to go. I promise you that this will be the last time." Gray said seriously.
"Your highness, with your permission." The head of ministers, Gildarts Clive, spoke,
"I think the young prince is being carefree because we are not directly involving him in political affairs.
If we give him a position then, I'm sure even he will be responsible towards our country's welfare and it will also be a training regime for his future as a king."
Silver began to rub his temples as a sign of thought process while Gray glared at the said minister.
"I agree with Gildarts but Gray this order will come to effect after you return from your hunting activity. Hope you come back within a week or so this time."
Silver ordered his son who accepted the condition and went out after saying bye to his dad.
"Okay Natsu, I will be gone for a week this time. I have already informed my mom and dad. So take care of them in my absence." Gray patted his friend's shoulder then got up on his horse.
"Yeah! I will manage here. Did you take necessary things and make sure you don't use that same route as last time some of your dad's men followed us chances are there they might follow you again. So use that route which I showed you last time." Natsu advised his boss cum friend.
"I got it. Bye, take care." Gray waved his hand and soon the horse took off on his master's command.
As expected Gray sensed some of his dad's men were following him secretly.
"Looks like dad's serious on where I'm really going." He thought to himself and led his horse to move faster.
When Gray was finally away from the following guards, he slowed down the horse with his command.
"Fro, you can go slow now."
Fro, majestic black stallion horse was a gift given to Gray on his seventh birthday by Silver which Gray loved until now.
"Soon in an hour, I will reach the other side of the country. Can't wait to see them!" Gray smiled genuinely thinking about his important people.
FEW HOURS LATER
As the carriage from Kingdom Scarlet Blossom stopped in front of the palace, Natsu and few of the council ministers were present to welcome them.
Lucy as soon as she got down, ran up to her fiance and hugged him tightly which was equally returned by Natsu.
"Finally, Natsu….finally we are going to be together. I love you, Natsu.." Lucy said happily and slowly began to tear up.
"I missed you, Luce. I love you too. I'm excited because we are going to be together forever." Natsu grinned just the way which made Lucy fall for him in the first place.
Once their lovely moment got over, the ministers bowed down to greet the both the princess of their ally kingdom.
"Hello Natsu, congratulations. Finally things are happening." Erza congratulated her friend and hugged him followed by Levy.
"So where's Gray? Is he busy?" Both Lucy and Erza asked Natsu as he led the ladies inside the palace.
"You know just a few hours back he went hunting. He will probably be back after a week. So come in, King and Queen are waiting for you girls." Natsu said as they passed through the guest room.
Once the ladies were comfortable and were chatting with Natsu, mostly teasing the couple.
Silver and Mika entered the guest room, everyone stood up.
"Good afternoon, Uncle..Aunty" Both Lucy and Erza greeted them in unison.
"Good afternoon, your highness" Levy and Natsu bowed down in respect.
"Good Afternoon, girls, Natsu.. Hope your journey was comfortable." Silver inquired about the girls while Mika sat next to Lucy.
Before saying anything else, Lucy bowed down,
"I'm extremely sorry for calling the wedding off at the last moment after leading it for these many years, uncle, aunty.
By now, both of you must be aware of my love for Natsu and vice-versa.
It was Gray's idea and we both were selfish so that we could be together which did happen at the end, thanks to Gray's help.
I'm sorry uncle, aunty. Please forgive us."
Soon even Natsu bowed down, as the couple apologised. The royal couple smiled and patted both of their shoulders,
"Both of you, now get up. Yes, I was disappointed. Now, I'm alright. After all Gray explained everything to me.
Lucy-chan, your happiness is what is important. If Natsu is your happiness, then, go for it, dear."
Mika hugged her and patted her back while congratulating again.
"Okay, it looks like the next few weeks will be your wedding. Hope, this Gray comes back soon." Silver sighed.
"As soon as your wedding gets over, we are thinking of getting Gray married off to the girl he fancies." Mika said happily.
Natsu didn't expect this statement of queen to be a trap and without knowing the ladies fell for it.
"Oh finally, Gray revealed his love matters. We couldn't be happier anymore than this." Levy exclaimed happily.
"It was about time Gray introduced Juvia as his fiancee to you uncle and aunty." Erza said casually with a smile.
"It's because of her sacrifice that today our marriage got fixed, uncle, aunty. Please accept Juvia and Gri…."
Before Lucy could finish, Natsu had his hand over her mouth once he realized that girls were giving them unwanted information and gestured to them to stop right there.
"Natsu, why are you stopping Lucy-chan from telling the truth? Let go of her." Mika ordered him.
"We knew since yesterday something is cooking between Juvia-chan and my son. Now tell us, as a parent it's our duty to look into his matter.
Believe me, if it's really Juvia-chan that Gray loves then we will get him married to her.
We are ready to accept her as our daughter-in-law irrespective of her background. Please girls, tell us what's Gray hiding from us."
Mika pleaded which made the young lads uncomfortable and finally revealed everything.
Silver Fullbuster was literally fuming after hearing every detail, "Natsu, prepare the carriages. Take us to that cottage. You girls are also coming with us. Go get into action."
Both Silver and Mika went while the latter was wiping her tears.
"Sorry Natsu, we didn't know Gray was still hiding it. Now what do we do?" Lucy apologised.
"No, in a way it's alright. Don't know whether that idiot realizes that hiding this issue longer will cause great problems not only for the throne but personally too." Natsu hissed and had his arms against his chest.
"He's right Lucy. Now let's hope everything goes in a positive pathway." Erza added.

Gray who stood in front of the old cottage door kept on staring at it. It had been half an hour since he reached the cottage which was at the other side of the country.
But thanks to the forest route, the five hours journey by the main bustling road was reduced to just one and half hours through the forest cover and with the help of his pet horse.
Every time, he comes to this cottage guilt consumes him. The act of selflessness which Gray never acknowledged in his life before changed once he met her.
Juvia Locksar, now 23, his secret fiancee was the one who taught him the quality of selflessness as she was the epitome of the same.
Gray for the first time met Juvia when he had come for vacation of two months when he was 17.
Juvia was then a newly recruited member in the housekeeping department.
His mom chose her as his personal maid because she was the daughter of her best friend who passed away recently then.
On the very first impression about Juvia which Gray perceived was she was shy, weird and equally cute and beautiful.
One thing which he found unique was her third person way of speech.
At first, Gray was reluctant to have her as his maid but slowly he accepted her dutiful services and also as his friend.
Being the same age, the things which he couldn't share with his parents, he shared that with her in his friends' absence.
Slowly this friendship blossomed into a crush which Gray thought would fade away as soon as he leaves to Celestial Kingdom.
Those two months of interaction was enough to know that Juvia was not like any other girls who were dying to grab his attention and succeed in their plan.
When Gray returned back to Fairy Tail, he knew that feeling which he harbours for her will never change. Until the next vacation, they exchanged letters.
As it held much more heavier feelings. Gray used an alias name in order to avoid unwanted commotion.
From her letters Gray knew even she felt the same for him but neither she nor him gave a clear response to this matter because it wouldn't give the same feel when said in person.
The next year when he went back to his palace for vacation, Gray was looking forward to meeting his love and soon confessing to her. He had brought a gift along with him just for her.
Once he saw her after a year, Gray became mesmerized with her beauty and appealing charms.
He had to literally control himself from hugging her when she gave him a shy, adorable smile which made her big, blue doe eyes sparkle, a sight which he swore wouldn't ever forget in his lifetime.
So the next two months were blissful for the not yet couple. For him, Juvia meant everything and wanted to experience new things alongside her.
But Juvia was consumed with doubts as she was an ordinary person while her Gray-sama was a royalty, the future king. And how would the present king accept such sort of taboo relationship.
When Gray confronted Juvia about her doubts, Gray tried his best to convince her and finally confessed to her on the day when he was returning back to his academy.
"See Juvia, I really love you. I want to be with you. Take your time, if you also feel the same towards me which I know is yes, write the letter to me. If you don't write it, I will assume it's a no. Bye take care."
He said with a heavy heart and left the palace without looking back at her nor did she look at him.
Because if they saw one another, tears which they controlled would just flow out voluntarily which both of them didn't want to.
When Gray didn't receive any letters from his Juvia for a month, he grew restless and annoyed.
And that was the time when Gray was confronted by Lucy and Natsu about the marriage which his dad had sent to Lucy's dad without his knowledge or consent.
For Gray, that was the most depressing stage of his life as nothing was going according to his will.
Neither the girl of his dreams was understanding him nor his friends.
But after a week, when he received a letter from his Juvia with her answer in it, he got back to his usual self and then apologised to Lucy and his friends for his behaviour.
Even others understood that he was also a victim of this arranged marriage. .
The next day he posted the letter to Juvia saying her to be confident and don't think about this arranged marriage as his heart only belonged to her.
(BACK TO PRESENT)
"Gray-San….Gray-San…" Gray regained his composure when someone called him.
When he turned around it was none other Natsu's foster sister Wendy Marvel, 16.
"Good afternoon, when did you come? Come let's go inside. I'm sure, Juvia-San would be thrilled to see you and also…"
Wendy's voice was interrupted when Juvia opened the door to check out the who was outside.
But her blue eyes widened when she saw her darling Gray-sama for the first time in three months.
Soon they closed the gap between them by embracing each other in their arms not bothering about Wendy's presence.
Juvia let out joyful tears seeing her fiance and soon peppered his face with chaste kisses.
"Juvia missed you, Gray-sama"
"Even I missed you both, Juvia. I love you, Juvia." He leaned forward to capture her pink plump lips which he missed for a while.
"Juvia loves you too, Gray-sama."
Wendy smiled and decided to leave the couple and went inside. Then Juvia led Gray inside the old cottage, there he stood still seeing the sight before.
" Wow Juvia, he's sitting already. He's growing up so fast, my boy."
Gray smiled widely seeing their 8 months old son sitting adorably on his own with his tiny fist inside his small mouth who looked mostly like Gray, except for his navy blue curly hairs, pale skin colour, blue doe eyes with thick eyelashes and cute button nose which he no doubt got from his mother Juvia.
PART:- I
A/N: Main pairing Gruvia and Nalu. Minor pairing Jerza and Gale.
In a far away land, there was a kingdom of Ice ruled by the Fullbusters for generations, currently being ruled by King Silver Fullbuster and his queen Mika Fullbuster.
Kingdom of Ice were neighbours to the Kingdom of Celestial which was ruled by the Heartfilias for generations, currently ruled by King Jude and his queen Layla Heartfilia.
Another neighbour was the Kingdom of Scarlet Blossom which was ruled by the Belserions for generations, ruled by their widowed Queen Irene Belserion.
These three kingdoms were allies and the rulers shared a great bond amongst themselves, both with respect to their business and political endeavors and personally, all three of them were good friends whom they have known from childhood.
These three kingdoms are forces to be reckoned with as they were prosperous and had an army of strong men and strategists who would predict the outcome of war which was always positive to them.
And that's why, other kingdoms feared this ally and would usually avoid war against them.
It had been 20 years since the current rulers ascended the throne. But now time has come to make way for future rulers to take charge.
"So Lucy, Was uncle finally convinced?" Erza Fernandez, daughter of Queen Irene Belserion who is to married the commander general of her mother's army, Jellal Fernandez with the blessing of her mother, asked the Heartfilia princess.
"Papa is almost convinced that Natsu would make a good husband and future king. I'm really grateful to Gray and Juvia if it weren't for them this wouldn't have been possible."
Lucy smiled genuinely and fondly remembered Juvia's words from two years ago.
"Lucy-san, I will wait till yours and Natsu-San's love issues get sorted out until then let Gray-sama continue being your fiance."
"Yeah! I'm sure both of them would be happy to hear this good news. Come let's go to Kingdom of Ice to share this news to your Natsu and Gray." Erza exclaimed happily.
"What? You are coming with us?" Levy Redfox, Lucy's personal maid and her best friend asked the Belserion princess.
"Yes!! It's been a while since I saw them especially…" Erza stopped as soon as her mother entered the guest room.
"Good Afternoon, your highness" Levy bowed down in respect.
"Hello Aunty" Lucy stood up and bowed down.
"Hello mother, is something the matter?" Erza asked.
"Good afternoon girls, did I interrupt your talks. Oh anyways!! Lucy dear, congratulations finally your dad has agreed for your marriage with that pinky boy.
And you know what, just now, I received his call and he informed me of this happy news. So as soon as your return to your kingdom, wedding preparations will commence. Congratulations dear."
Irene hugged Lucy and patted her back.
"I can't believe papa agreed wholeheartedly. When I left our palace two days back, he said he would think about it but he didn't give consent yet but I knew he would eventually. But I never thought this would happen this soon." Lucy said with a smile which she couldn't contain.
"He and Layla wanted to surprise you, that's why they didn't tell you when you left. Okay girls, enjoy your stay and once again, congratulations Lucy dear." Irene added and left the guest room.
The girls squealed in delight and had their group hug.
"Finally, ten years of a struggling love life has come to a happy end. Now, Lucy will become Lucy Dragneel." Levy exclaimed and congratulated her friends.
Lucy, Erza and Gray were childhood friends who did their schooling together in Kingdom of Celestial in their prestigious academy "Fairy Tail" which was run by a wise old man, Makarov Dreyar who taught them every lesson pertaining to changing life and kingdom.
He mainly taught them about family and it doesn't require blood to form bonds with someone. And everyone should be treated equally.
Even though, Jude and Irene dismissed that kind of knowledge and thoughts and were ready to stop the schooling.
It was Silver and Mika who convinced their friends and said that the old man was doing a perfect job of raising the future rulers in the correct path which the others reluctantly agreed to at the end.
Fairy Tail academy is the place where everyone students were seen in the same light. That academy is the place where Lucy met Levy McGarden, Gajeel Redfox and Jellal Fernandez and also Natsu for the first time.
Jellal, Levy, Gajeel and Natsu Dragneel, were the orphan residents of Celestial Kingdom. Natsu's personality was something Lucy hadn't ever come across.
He was always hyper, excited, funny and a very friendly person. He quickly gelled up with her group except Gray, as their personality was totally opposite.
But with the course of time, even they became best of friends. Natsu shared a sisterly bond with Erza which even she felt the same.
But the bond he shared with Lucy was totally different, from best friends they became lovers.
At age of 17, Natsu confessed his feelings which he had bottled up since he first met Lucy and to his surprise, even Lucy felt the same and accepted his love wholeheartedly.
Since then, they have remained together and were ready to face any struggle in their path until they had King Jude and Queen Layla's approval.
But what came as a struggle in their path was a wedding proposal sent to Lucy's dad from Kingdom of Ice from Gray's father which the former agreed and wanted it to happen as soon as their children graduated from the academy.
When Lucy confronted Gray along with Natsu and other friends, all Gray said was he wasn't aware of this arrangement nor was he informed about this prior.
"See Lucy, I'm not heartless to snatch you away from Natsu. I know how much you guys love each other. Natsu, don't you remember how I encouraged you to confess your feelings to Lucy and don't feel that damn inferiority complex. Now you both are accusing me?"
Lucy still remembered how their accusations had hurt Gray which led him to not talk to any of them for a week.
But after a week, when Lucy and Natsu apologised to him which he accepted and finally revealed a thing which he had been hiding for a long time,
"I'm in love with someone which I can't disclose now. But don't worry Lucy, I will call off this wedding. We still have a year left before we graduate. So be cool and I support you both."
"Lucy…..Lucy…." Levy was shaking her best friend. That's when Lucy regained her composure and smiled sheepishly at them.
"Don't go drifting away in your dreams. Now you have a huge responsibility of apologising to Gray's parents officially. I'm sure uncle must have informed them already about the wedding getting called off. But I think you should personally go and meet them. What do you say?" Erza asked as she poured the tea into her cup.
"Even I feel the same. Tomorrow morning let's leave to the Kingdom of Ice." Lucy added.
MEANWHILE
"So these six years of engagement comes to an unsatisfactory ditch, huh!! That's what you are trying to say Jude." Silver sounded harshly.
"Honey, please cool down. Don't sound this harsh to our friend." Mika tried to console her husband.
"Okay! Fine, now at least you tried to inform me that's cool. Don't worry, I'm not angry at Lucy-chan for not marrying my son.
I see her as my daughter and at the end of the day, it's her decision as she's the one who's going to lead that life.
Fine!! Don't worry we will surely come for the ceremony and if you know any alliance for my son, do inform me. He's soon going to 24 and still unmarried by this age, I already had him. Okay bye." Silver kept the lacrima away and sighed.
"Honey!! I don't think we need to search for another alliance. I feel Gray is already seeing someone but I don't know who it is." Mika said as she sat next to her husband.
"Who could be that? I should have listened to him when he said at first that he was not interested in marrying Lucy-chan.
But I believed that he was okay with it as he agreed to marry her afterwards.
But should have known that wasn't the thing when he made trivial excuses to postpone the wedding.
Now look, he's the one now who is in the losing end. Whoever that girl is, I'm ready to get him married off if he wholeheartedly loves her." Silver said as he hugged his wife to make himself feel at ease.
"What if she's an ordinary person, someone without any background as such?" Mika questioned him.
"I don't believe in this high status crap. I'm not telling this because of Lucy-chan. The reason I felt she would be a good bride for Gray is because we have known her since her birth.
But Gray nor Lucy-chan felt that for one another. Now that's why, she chose Natsu who makes her happy and smiles in the way she wants.
If even our Gray has someone like that I will also choose the same path which Jude and Layla has chosen for their daughter. Dear, go speak to him and know the answer. And before that send those letters to the mail guard." Silver pointed at the table.
After breaking from the hug, Mika went near the table and took the letters. She checked them and took one out of it.
"We wrote letters to her every month for the past one and half years but she didn't even bother to write us back. Is she alright? Did we make a mistake by sending her to Bosco on her accord?" Mika asked out of concern.
Silver could clearly see worries wash over her face. "I'm sure Juvia-chan's alright. Because my heart says so. Don't worry, I have a hunch that we might meet her soon."
Gray, who was passing by his parent's bedroom, had heard all the things the couple had spoken about.
Once he reached his room where he saw Natsu Dragneel, his main bodyguard laying around eating a packet of chips. Gray groaned and scolded him, "Idiot, what are you doing littering my bed?"
"Ice-princess!! Why are you shouting? Geez, I was just eating chips."
Natsu yelled back and now both had their head smacked against each other and began to brawl by pulling each other's hairs.
Even if Gray was practically Natsu's boss, both were being friendly because they considered each other as their best friend.
It was Gray's idea to appoint Natsu as his main bodyguard after graduation so that Natsu could learn the life of royalty and prepare for his future life.
"Flame-brain, you could have told me that your wedding got fixed." Gray said and gave him another punch.
"Wow!! Wait who told you that? Luce told me yesterday that her dad has almost agreed but not yet still. But now you are saying something different. Is it true?" Natsu asked out of surprise which eyes sparkling and a big goofy smile on his face.
Seeing him Gray smiled and nodded in agreement, "Yes, your soon-to-be father-in -law has agreed. Looks like Lucy will inform you soon now." He smirked.
Natsu looked at Gray and hugged him which startled the former, "Thank you Gray. If it weren't for yours and Juvia's help, it wouldn't have been possible. Thanks man. Me and Luce are really grateful for your help. And sorry because of us you couldn't be with your…."
Before Natsu could finish, he stopped seeing the Queen mother and King. He soon broke the hug and bowed down to greet them..
"Good Afternoon, your highness."
"Mom, Dad... what do you want?" Gray asked as he folded his arms.
"So dear, it was your doing that now Jude has accepted your friend to wed his daughter, huh?" Mika asked as she raised her eyebrow.
"What are you talking about? I don't know anything?" Gray laughed sheepishly and tried to change the topic.
"Oh we heard your friend's speech, my son. What did you do to convince Jude?" Silver asked as he sat down on the couch opposite to the bed with his wife.
Natsu, who was about to leave the room, was stopped by Silver and told him to stay.
"Firstly, I made Natsu as my bodyguard which you agreed after seeing his talents and skill.
Secondly, I taught him some manners regarding the royal life which he's still learning.
Thirdly, I sent him to Lucy's dad for a year when someone sent a threatening letter to uncle Jude stating that Lucy would be kidnapped which was sent by Erza by the way.
Finally, I didn't call off this wedding for these six years since if we called off then Lucy's dad would have brought another alliance for her.
So that's why, every now and then, I made excuses to get married without breaking down the engagement while Lucy tried from her side to convince her dad about Natsu and their love for one another which she succeeded at the end."
Gray at last revealed the whole plan to his parents and looked at them expecting a bunch of scolding but was shocked to see his parents smiling and especially his mom tearing up.
Gray soon went near her and hugged her, "Mom, I'm sorry if I made a mistake. I thought I was helping my friends this way. I know I shouldn't have led you guys on this matter. I'm extremely sorry for making you guys disappointed."
Mika patted her son's back, "Dear, you are truly a gentleman. I'm proud that we have raised a son who is helpful and selfless. Don't apologise."
"So Gray, are you seeing someone? If yes, then share it with us. We will get you married to your dream girl." Silver asked for which Gray remained silent.
"And what was that you guys were talking about Juvia's help?" Mika questioned the boys whose faces became pale as the name was uttered by the queen.
