I took these photos near the launch of FFCC remastered, when everyone on twitter was talking about their love of the game and how excited they were for the re-release. Thanks to @heebiejeebiejade's relentless peer pressure, I got the courage to @ Toshiyuki Itahana on twitter, showed him my collection and told him how much I loved FFCC! He actually replied and I basically died right then. That's right, I've been a ghost this entire time but I digress XD
Another re-photograph! This time of the Dress Shirt handed out to Store Managers at EB games for FFCC's launch in 2003! Employees were given different T-Shirts, of which I have not been able to find yet, but I'm always looking! God I need to Iron this thing...
Got this recently in an auction for like... 20 cents!! Got to combine shipping with other items too so it was a mega steal!!
This is the FFCC Multiplayer guide, which gives lots of tips and tricks for playing in multiplayer!! It's super cute and even includes cut out dice that players can use to roll on who gets items like magicite, gil, and artifacts during multiplay!
Another one of those items that needed to be re-photographed, this is the ceiling banner used in EB game stores back in 2003!
It's old and it has some residue from where the store used tape on it, but trying to remove it damages the illustration. It's also got a really bad scratch on the opposite side (not pictured) which makes me a bit sad, but I got it over a decade ago when the prices for it were.... normal. Nowdays they go for several hundred dollars and I'm shocked LOL
This is something I had a hard time tracking down, mostly because Amazon.JP was the only place I could find it for a long time and the sellers who had it in stock didn't ship overseas. ToT
I wanted it mostly for it's unique cover! The article inside is only a short two page feature, but the cover art is so nice! I love how they made the magazine's mascot into a Lilty XD
This is a NEW Jewel in my FFCC collection!! I got this a few weeks ago in an auction (my wallet hurts a lot after this one)
This is an item rewarded to those who reached 'Ultimate' status on the JP Square Enix Store, featuring Sherlotta from Echoes of Time and Leo from My Life as a King! The amount of money you had to spend to reach 'ultimate' status though..... gosh I could never afford it haha! There weren't many of these made but I don't know the exact amount that were printed. Don't let the photo fool you, this print is a lot bigger than it looks too!
Alright I made an FFCC blog to hold all of my fave FFCC posts/arts/etc so if y'all see me mass reblogging it's cuz I'm filling it up with all the goodies~
Edit: Man had to edit this cuz apparently I hit the reblog limit XD
I've never hit the reblog limit in my life so I guess I'm now mass liking all my faves to reblog later XD
I don't normally like reposting photos taken by other people, however I wanted to show the full image without the watermarks. Unfortunately, you can see the reflection of the photo taker's phone in the image
The White Moogle Plushies came in!!!! (and the seller was super nice and included a little Vivi doll from 2000 in the package too! TwT so cute!)
I might have to open them up and de-stuff them so I can handwash them, their fur is pretty stiff and the big one has a bit of greying on his ears, but a day in the spa should fluff them right up!
Alright I managed to get scans of the back Illustration on the first 9 TCG cards!
I've been wanting to get proper clean scans of this Illustration FOREVER because it's SUPER tiny in the Ultimania, but it's SUCH a good Illustration! It was used as the cover in the First Adventure Guidebook but it was heavily edited and covered up by text. It was also shown off at the FFCCRE art gallery at Tokyo Game Show 2019 before the remaster's release, and some people took photos of it with their phones, but it's not the same as a good scan!
My only pet peeve is that I wasn't really able to edit the watermarks from each card off of the full image. I was able to remove the lines from the cards but not the watermarks. Still, it's nice to finally have a clear image of it XD
TODAY I GOT SOMETHING I'VE ALWAYS WANTED BUT NEVER THOUGHT I'D BE ABLE TO FIND!!! THE 21 YEAR OLD FFCC TCG CARDS!!! AND IT'S ALMOST THE WHOLE SET!!! IT'S ONLY MISSING THE TEN SPECIAL FOIL TCGS!!! ToT
I don't know if you still check this or post anymore, but I wanted to ask. Did you ever read the FFCC novel that you posted the dust cover summary of? Any details you thought were neat? How does Hurdy fight? When you said it was a prequel, I thought the ending might be really interesting. Thanks for posting what you have about these little-known pieces of FFCC. There's not a lot of documentation of this kind of stuff outside of Japan.
Heyo! I still lurk in the background on tumblr lol XD
I'm still working my way through the novel! It's got a lot of kanji in it I don't know yet, so it's taking longer to get through it than I thought it would! I'll def post a summary of it when I do!
Whelp it only took me two years to finish the #SixFanarts challenge from twitter.... This is the first thing I’ve posted to tumblr in a LONG time...
Some More CSP tests I did the other day! I'm gonna practice with it more so I can get used to the new painting program!
I was so happy to hear that Keiss is going to be added to Dissidia Opera Omnia!!!
