If “Ice Chips” did something in me (it did a lot of things, my mommy issues run deep) was to enforce my idea that Donna resents Carmy more than her other children, and whatever reason it may be, this resentment seems to have been present since he was born. The way she talked about giving birth to him…I had to pause.

I know giving birth can be so traumatic that can create resentment from the mother to the baby, but there may be something else going on here.

Was Carmy the only child Donna really didn’t intend to have? Was she at that point very angry with her husband and passed that resentment to Carmy?

It also seems like Carmy was very young (probably younger than 5) when his father left

There is also the possibility (been ruminating a fic idea for a while) that Carmy is the product of an affair. Donna’s feelings about the situation and her husband leaving her afterwards (did he found out?) may be the reason she has resent Carmy for so long, the literal product of her unhappiness….

I have thought since the first season, before the audience even met Donna, that Carmy was the child that she never mean to have. That she was done having children after Mickey and Nat. That she blamed Carmy for her husband leaving. It explains why Carmy seemed to see Michael as the person who he wanted to impress. And why Natalie mothers him.

people have speculated about what it is luca is drinking during the ep. 3.10 party. syd is clearly drinking red wine, luca‘s beverage is in a white wine glass, but i‘ve never seen white wine clear like water, it usually has some degree of a yellow-y tinge to it. (and i refuse to believe it’s vodka or sth as others have speculated lmao) my headcanon is that it‘s water because he doesn‘t drink (anymore?). in his episode with marcus he hints at having had a dark past in his youth. couple that with what he says to syd about his sister and him growing up, he might have had a rough time growing up and had a bad boy past. idk, just some thoughts.
