Nothing's gonna tear us apart
After the 3rd great shinobi war ended, the five major countries agreed to maintain peace. One form of maintaining the peace is by collecting scrolls containing forbidden jutsu, then sealing them so that they cannot be misused by anyone and can cause chaos again.
One of the scrolls being targeted was Orocimaru's scroll, which contained records of his forbidden experiments. The five major countries agreed to hand over this task to Konoha village. And based on fairly reliable information, apparently Orocimaru's scrolls are stored in a village called Otagakure.
Because this mission was very important, the third hokage assigned it to the two best jonin, Hatake Kakashi and Sarutobi Asuma. Their mission is to retrieve the scrolls while avoiding conflict as much as possible, meaning they must be able to find and retrieve them secretly.
So Kakashi and Asuma departed for the village of Otagakure. When they got there, they decided to split up and observe the situation first, while looking for information and clues as to where the scrolls were kept. They also dressed like local residents so they don't attract people's attention.
Kakashi walked along one of the streets in the village while looking around. There are many small alleys between shops and houses. Suddenly from one of the alleys someone ran and hit Kakashi and fell. Even though he was a little surprised, Kakashi quickly observed it. A girl, with wide-eyed and long brown hair, she seemed younger than Kakashi.
Then there was a voice "Ooiiii...Stop kinoe!", two men ran over, apparently wanting to catch the girl. Without saying anything, the girl got up and ran again to escape pursuit. Actually, Kakashi was curious, but he decided not to get involved so as not to attract attention. He continued walking while observing the village.
That night in the forest near the village, Kakashi met Asuma. Asuma managed to get information from people who were chatting in the tavern. They were talking about a whorehouse in the village. Not only does it have beautiful women, but rumors say that the whorehouse contains valuable items such as rare objects and secret scrolls. From the tavern, Asuma decided to look directly at the whorehouse.
The whorehouse is a fairly large house, located right in the center of the village, with three floors with elegant classic decoration. Each balcony is decorated with beautiful flowers. A number of lanterns are also installed on the roof, which lights up beautifully at night. It seemed that this whorehouse was not an ordinary whorehouse, because the house was guarded quite tightly by a number of bodyguards.
"Alright, tomorrow night we will look for information at the house. We will divide the tasks. You disguise yourself as a new customer..." said Kakashi.
"What?! Why me???" Asuma protested
"Why not?" Kakashi answered casually.
"You already have experience interacting with women, so I'm sure you're more suitable for this role..." said Kakashi with smiling eyes.
Asuma took a deep breath. "Kurenai could kill me if she found out I came to a place like that..." he said resignedly. Kakashi laughed while patting Asuma's shoulder.
As planned, the next night Asuma came to the whorehouse, as a customer. He was dressed neatly and elegantly, like the other customers. It seems that the customers who come are rich people, nobles and officials. Asuma was immediately greeted by a beautiful girl in a red kimono.
After confirming that Asuma had entered, Kakashi immediately moved. He had moved to the roof and was observing the whorehouse closely. Suddenly his gaze shifted.
"Hey...where else are you going kinoeee!" A man shouted calling a girl who ran through the back door of the house. Apparently it was the girl who hit him yesterday. "Why did that girl leave this house?" Kakashi thought. Actually, Kakashi was curious, but he returned his focus to the house. Apparently the house was guarded by several bodyguards. But for some reason the back door isn't there. Perhaps not many people know that the house has a back door.
In the middle of the night Kakashi met Asuma again in the forest near the village. According to Asuma, not just any woman can work there. Apart from being beautiful, they also have to have other skills such as chatting, playing musical instruments, singing, making tea, and even giving massages. Asuma chose to chat while enjoying green tea made by the woman who had greeted him. With his skills in talking to women, Asuma got information from the woman that the whorehouse was led by a middle-aged woman who was usually called Big Mom. While lowering her voice, the woman said that The Big Mom had quite good connections with officials, nobles, and even great ninjas from various villages, including Orocimaru. Big Mom also has a room on the third floor which cannot be entered by just anyone and is strictly guarded by her bodyguards.
"I think that's where Orocimaru's scrolls are kept..." said Asuma.
"Okay, tomorrow night it's my turn." Kakashi said.
So the next night Kakashi entered the whorehouse through the back door. There was only one guard who he had paralyzed without a sound with his sharingan. Kakashi quickly went up to the third floor. He also paralyzed two guards on guard at the end of the stairs on the third floor with his sharingan, as did two more people on guard at the door of the room.
Kakashi then entered the room. The dim light illuminated the room which was not very large. Inside there are several shelves neatly lined up filled with items that appear to be antique and of high value. In the corner of the room there is a table with a chest on it. The coffin was sealed, but Kakashi managed to open the seal. As soon as he opened the chest, he saw several scrolls of paper inside, and when he opened it, it turned out to be true, the scrolls contained records of experiments that had been carried out by Orocimaru. Kakashi immediately took a scroll from his pocket bag, this scroll was used to store all of Orocimaru's scrolls. When Kakashi put in the last scroll, suddenly the door to the room opened. There was a fat, middle-aged woman wearing a red kimono, with neatly tied hair and thick make-up.
"Intruder!!! Who are you?! How dare you overpower my guards and come in here!" the woman shouted.
"Catch him!!!" another woman next to her shouted at the bodyguard behind them.
Kakashi immediately jumped out of the window near the chest. Two bodyguards chased him. Kakashi ran and jumped from roof to roof towards the forest.
When entering the forest, one of the guards threw a lot of suriken at Kakashi. Kakashi dodged and parried it. While Kakashi was fending off Suriken's attacks, the other guard threw many needles at him. Kakashi parried, unfortunately one needle hit his right arm. Kakashi landed on one of the tree branches, his vision blurry. Feeling something was wrong, Kakashi used a smoke bomb and immediately moved away from the two bodyguards.
After feeling safe enough from the two bodyguards who were chasing him, Kakashi landed on the ground. His arm that was hit by the needle felt very painful, his head was dizzy, his breathing began to become short, and his vision became increasingly blurry, and finally he fell. In the midst of his dwindling consciousness, he felt someone kneeling near him, he vaguely saw... the girl with brown hair and wide eyes. The girl touched Kakashi's arm. After that, Kakashi became unconscious.
When his consciousness began to return, the first voice he heard was Asuma's voice.
"Are you okay, Kakashi?" Asuma's face looked very worried.
Kakashi tried to digest what had happened. "Yeah...I think so..."
"Sorry I came late... It looks like you were injured, and it made you unconscious. I found you sleeping here, and it seems... someone was treating your wound..."
Kakashi tried to remember what happened. His head was still a little dizzy, but it wasn't as painful as before, and neither were his arms. He looked at his arm. There was a cloth bandage, inside which looked like crushed leaves, stuck right on the wound. Kakashi remembers...
"Girl? Whose girl?" Asuma asked confused.
"I think she helped me..."
"Eee... I don't know which girl you mean. It seems like there were good people who helped you. But when I arrived here, there was only you..."
"The scroll?" Asuma asked.
Kakashi checked his pockets. The scroll is still there. "I've got it..." answered Kakashi.
"Good. Then tonight we will rest here first, while you recover. Tomorrow morning we will return to Konoha..." said Asuma.
Meanwhile at the whorehouse...
The Big Mom hit the table next to her in annoyance.
"Damn...! The intruder managed to take all of Master Orocimaru's scrolls! How could you all be defeated by one person?!!!" he snapped at his guards. They can only look down...
"I'm sorry Madam... the guards tried to catch him, but he managed to escape..." said another woman who was younger, The Big Mom's assistant.
"What??!!!!! You guys failed? Agaaiin?!!!!"
"Eee... but one of the guards who was chasing him managed to hit him with a poisoned needle, madam... Even if he managed to escape, I'm sure by now he would be lying stiff and lifeless. Not many people can cure that poison, unless he has special ability..."
The Big Mom sighed heavily... "Mr. Orocimaru entrusted all the results of his experiments to me... but who knows how long. Even now I don't know how he is doing or when he will come here again... But, at least we still have one legacy from Lord Orocimaru..."
"Do you mean kinoe, madam?"
"Of course. Kinoe is the result of Mr. Orocimaru's experiments..."
"But... apart from his troublesome behavior because he always tries to escape from here, Kinoe looks just normal, madam. There's nothing special about him..."
"Well... Actually, I myself don't know what kind of experiment he was. Mr. Orocimaru only said that Kinoe has a rare ability that will be very expensive, and his ability could even be contested by other countries..."
"What kind of ability is that, madam?" the assistant asked curiously.
"I don't know about that either... Mr. Orocimaru said Kinoe's abilities will appear in time, when he meets someone. I don't understand what he means..."
There was silence for a few moments, then Big Mom said again...
"But... I also don't want to lose money by continuing to look after Kinoe. Lock Kinoe's room so he doesn't run away again! Tomorrow I will offer it to one of the rich nobles who plans to come here..."
"But... we have never taught Kinoe any skills like other girls, madam..."
"Don't worry, Kinoe is beautiful and still a virgin, surely the noble will like it hahahahaha..." said The Big Mom while laughing slyly.
The next morning, before returning to Konoha, Kakashi said...
"Asuma, I need a moment. Can you wait for me here? I'll be back soon."
Asuma was actually confused, but he didn't mind waiting.
At the whorehouse Kinoe was in his room. The door to his room was locked and guarded by guards, so he couldn't run away again. Moreover, last night he managed to escape into the forest.
He was sitting on the balcony, when suddenly someone appeared in front of him. Kinoe was shocked and fell from his seat.
"Sorry...I surprised you, didn't I?" Kakashi said while smiling and scratching his head which didn't itch. Kakashi extended his right hand to Kinoe to help him stand.
Kinoe said nothing. From his face he still looked surprised and confused. After a moment, he hesitantly accepted Kakashi's extended hand. Kakashi also helped him up.
"Sorry to startle you. I know I was a bit impolite for appearing on the balcony, but if I had entered through the main door, I don't think I would have been allowed in..."
Kinoe was silent...Kakashi became awkward.
"Ummm...Last night you were the one who helped me, right?"
Kinoe didn't answer. He just looked at Kakashi.
"I don't know why you were in the forest last night... and why you helped me... but thank you very much..." said Kakashi, smiling behind his mask.
"Oh, as an expression of thanks for helping me, I want to give you this..." Kakashi handed him a bell in his right hand.
Kinoe looked at it in confusion
"This is the bell my teacher gave me. I also have one..." Kakashi showed the other bell with his left hand. "I hope you are willing to accept and keep it. Hopefully this bell can be useful when you need it..."
Kinoe hesitantly took the bell that Kakashi offered.
"Okay then, see you.." Kakashi bowed and disappeared in an instant.
Seeing Kakashi who was able to disappear in an instant, Kinoe was shocked. He blinked, then looked at the bell in his hand. He felt a strange feeling rising in his heart. It was a comfortable feeling, a feeling that made him happy, and made his lips curve into a smile. Suddenly the flowers on the balcony bloomed. No, not only on the balcony, but all the flowers in the village were blooming very beautifully, making the people in the village surprised, amazed and fascinated.
Suddenly the door of Kinoe's room was opened, and the assistant was seen. "Hurry and take him!" He said to the guards while smiling slyly. Then two bodyguards carrying kinoe followed the assistant to another room. In that room the kinoe is cleaned, made up and changed into clothes.
Two hours passed. Now Kinoe looks very beautiful in her pink kimono. "Stay here and don't try to escape again!" The assistant said in a threatening tone.
Evening came. Kinoe was moved again to another room, a room usually used for important guests. Kinoe sat alone on the bed. He was confused and afraid, what would happen, why he was suddenly put in that room. He gripped tightly the bell that Kakashi had given him.
Not long after, the bedroom door opened. Looks like Big Mom. Beside him stood a middle-aged man, fat and luxuriously dressed.
"Please come in, sir..." said Big Mom. They entered followed by the assistant. "This is kinoe who I told you about..."
The fat man's eyes looked at Kinoe from head to toe. "Really beautiful..." he said, fascinated.
"I thought, you will definitely like him..." said Big Mom, then she whispered "He's a little unruly, so you can do whatever you like with him, sir... Don't be shy" then she laughed followed by his laughter. fat man.
Kinoe's feeling is getting worse. His grip on Kakashi's bell tightened.
After Big Mom and her assistant left, the fat man and Kinoe were left in the room. The man walked closer to Kinoe. Kinoe didn't like his expression. The man then touched Kinoe's face. Kinoe backed away. As the man advanced towards Kinoe, Kinoe pushed him hard until the fat man fell.
Seeing the fat man fall, Kinoe quickly ran towards the door, but the fat man grabbed the back of his kimono and pulled him until he fell. The bell Kakashi gave him slipped from his hand. The fat man then slapped Kinoe in the face "Damn! How dare you push me! Then he slapped Kinoe several times...
At the same time in the Hokage's office, Kakashi and Asuma were giving their mission report to the Third Hokage when the bell in Kakashi's trouser pocket suddenly rang.
"Sandaime... sorry I have to go... I'll leave the rest to Asuma..." said Kakashi.
Before Asuma had time to digest Kakashi's sudden words, he had disappeared.
"Hey...where are you going, Kakas..."
The third Hokage just smiled "Looks like there is someone he has to save..."
"How would I know... Continue with the report," said the third Hokage while smoking his pipe.
Kakashi learned the teleportation jutsu from his teacher, who also gave the bell to him, Minato Sensei. That's why in just a few seconds, Kakashi was in Kinoe's room.
When Kakashi arrived at Kinoe's room, Kinoe was lying helplessly on the floor as if he was about to crawl, his outer kimono had come off, while the fat man was on top of her while pulling her long hair. Kakashi was shocked, as was the fat man. A second later, Kakashi paralyzed the fat man until he fainted, then picked up Kinoe and took him away through the bedroom window.
Kakashi jumped from roof to roof in the village and from tree to tree in the forest while watching the kinoe in his arms. "Can you still hear me? I'll take you to a safe place..." said Kakashi while strengthening his hold. Half conscious, Kinoe looked at Kakashi. His face and body ached, but his heart felt calm in Kakashi's arms.
A few moments later Kakashi arrived in front of an apartment door. He pressed the bell and someone opened the door.
"Kakashi???" Kurenai asked, surprised to see Kakashi who came at night carrying someone.
"Kurenai, may I come in?"
Kakashi came in and put kinoe on the sofa.
"A girl from otagakure. I can't take care of her in my house. So, can you take care of her?"
"Thank you... sorry I came suddenly and bothered you..."
"No problem..." Kurenai said with a smile.
"Okay, I have to go back to the Sandaime office immediately."
The next day Kakashi passed in front of a dango shop while Kurenai and Asuma were eating there. Kakashi approached the two of them.
"Hey kakashi, what a surprise that you came here, don't you not like sweet food?" Asuma said.
"I didn't come here to eat dango, but to meet Kurenai..." Kakashi answered with a smile. "How is the girl?" Kakashi asked Kurenai.
"She's fine. I've treated his wounds. Luckily nothing serious..." answered Kurenai
"Kurenai already told me. Apparently the girl is from Otagakure, right?" Asuma asked.
"Yeah, I accidentally met her. She was the one who helped me when I was injured that night," answered Kakashi
"Is that so? It's great that she wants to help you," said Asuma laughing
"Eee...but kakashi, I'm sorry, it looks like I can't look after her in my apartment anymore..." said Kurenai
"Because...because...he's a boy..." Kurenai answered hesitantly
"What???!!!" Asuma and Kakashi said at the same time.
"I was also surprised, because I thought he was a girl. But when I changed his clothes, I found out he was a boy. So, it's better if he just stays with you..." said Kurenai with a shy smile.
That night, Kinoe moved to Kakashi's apartment.
"Please come in. Sorry, my apartment is small. There is only one room. You can use that room." Kakashi said while showing him his room. "Um...I'll prepare dinner..."
Kinoe nodded without saying anything.
"Oh yes, you can call me Kakashi..." Kakashi then turned around to head to the kitchen.
Kakashi's steps stopped, then he turned around again.
"Okay Kinoe, I'll call you when dinner is ready." Kakashi said with a smile then turned back towards the kitchen.
The same feeling as when on the balcony some time ago reappeared in Kinoe's heart. A smile spread across his face. And that made flowers bloom all over Konoha village. People were amazed and fascinated, including the third hokage who was walking while smoking his pipe. He stopped for a moment, felt something was different, then continued his journey again.
That night Kakashi cooked soup. Kinoe tasted it.
"Is it delicious?" Kakashi asked.
Kinoe answered with a smile and a nod, which meant the soup tasted good. Kakashi immediately became embarrassed seeing Kinoe's smile. After his last bite, kinoe put down his spoon.
"Um... sorry...." said Kinoe while looking down.
"Oh... don't worry..." said Kakashi. Then he took something out of his pocket and showed it to kinoe.
"Oh.....that...." Kinoe was surprised.
"After knocking out the fat man, I picked it up on the floor..." Kakashi said with a smile.
"Thank God..." Kinoe breathed a sigh of relief.
"Um... why did you help me at that time?"
Kinoe was silent for a moment then answered "Because you were injured..."
Kinoe nodded. Kakashi was a bit surprised because Kinoe's reason was just that simple, even though Kinoe didn't know him, what if it turned out that the person he was helping was a bad person.
"Um... then you must have good enough knowledge about medicine to be able to ward off the poison in my body..."
After being silent for a moment, Kinoe shook his head slowly.
"Then how do you know how to ward off the poison?"
After another moment of silence, Kinoe answered "The trees told me..."
Kakashi was surprised "Trees? How is that possible?"
"I always felt like I could talk to the trees or plants around me, and I could also understand what they were saying. So at that time they told me which plants could be used to help you and how..."
Having been a shinobi for decades and seeing various kinds of jutsu, including medical jutsu, this was the first time Kakashi had heard of something like that.
"What about your family? Where are they?"
Kinoe was silent for a moment, appearing to be thinking, then shook his head.
"I...don't know. I don't really remember. What I can remember...I was in a tube filled with water and I always saw a man with long hair. Then one day the man seemed panicked cleaning up his things and pressing -presses the button near the tube, then everything goes dark and I don't remember anything else...". Kinoe was silent again for a moment, then said "When I opened my eyes, I was already in that house. Big Mom called me by the name Kinoe...". Again, Kinoe was silent for a moment "To be honest, I didn't like being in that house, so several times I tried to run away from there... even though I didn't know where to run..."
Kakashi didn't know what to say.
"Um...what's wrong?" Kinoe asked hesitantly.
"No...it's okay. Oh...tomorrow night there is a fireworks festival. Do you want to go see it?"
Kinoe nodded with a smile, and Kakashi became embarrassed again, he still couldn't believe that Kinoe was a boy.
The next night, Konoha village was very beautifully decorated. Lanterns hung here and there. Many stands on the side of the road sell various kinds of merchandise, ranging from snacks, drinks, toys, accessories, etc. People were on the road, including kakashi and kinoe. Kinoe was both fascinated and curious. He approached each stand, moving from one stand to the next, looking at what was being sold at that stand. Kakashi just followed him. When he arrived at the stand selling accessories, Kinoe stopped for a long time. He was amazed to see the accessories displayed on the stand.
"Please young lady...which one do you want to buy?" asked the salesman. "Ah...how about this ribbon? It's perfect for your beautiful long hair..." said the seller with a smile.
Kinoe became embarrassed. Actually, the ribbon was beautiful, but Kinoe couldn't possibly buy it because Kinoe didn't have any money. So he just responded with a smile and a nod, then moved to the stand next to him, the stand that sold flowers. Kinoe came closer and smelled the aroma of the flowers, it was really fragrant.
Opposite the flower stand was a dango shop, where Kakashi's friends were gathered there enjoying dumplings: Asuma, Kurenai, Gai, Anko, Aoba, Izumo, Kotetsu, and Gemma.
"Who is that girl? I think it's the first time I've seen her..." said Gemma.
"Which girl?" Kotetsu asked.
"That's the one on the flower stand..."
Then everyone looked at the girl Gemma meant.
"Oh... that's Kakashi's friend..." said Kurenai.
"From Otagakure village..." continued Kurenai
"Very beautiful..." everyone commented, except Kurenai and Asuma
"Oooh...so that's him..." said Asuma
"Him???" Again asked everyone except Kurenai and Asuma
"Yeah...he's a boy...his name is Kinoe" explained Kurenai
"Whaaaat???!!!" Everyone was shocked except Kurenai and Asuma.
Across there, Kakashi walked over to Kinoe at the flower stand.
Kinoe turned his head. Kakashi showed the beautiful ribbon that the seller had offered at the previous stand. In the middle there is a bell that Kakashi once gave to Kinoe. Kakashi moved behind Kinoe then tied Kinoe's long hair with the ribbon.
"It suits you very well, tenzo." Kakashi said with a smile.
"Kinoe was your name when you were still in that house. From now on I will call you tenzo, meaning heavenly creation. Well, because each of us has one bell, that way we will be connected to each other wherever and whenever..."
Kinoe's face immediately blushed, "I...I promise this time I will take good care of this bell...thank you, Kakashi-san," she said while bowing.
All of Kakashi's friends at the dango shop were surprised and fascinated to see Kakashi and Kinoe. Their mouths were agape and their eyes didn't blink, they didn't expect and couldn't believe that Kakashi could be that romantic.
"That's sooooo romantiiiic!!!" Gai shouted until his eyes were full of tears, accompanied by explosions of fireworks whose rays lit up the sky and the sound echoed throughout Konoha and its surroundings.
People gathered on the streets to watch the beauty of the fireworks in the sky.
Unfortunately, some of the fireworks failed to fly into the sky and instead shot low and even towards the side of the crowd. Suddenly people were shocked and ran away. In the midst of the panic, a small child fell and several fireworks shot towards him. The child's mother screamed...
Kinoe spontaneously hit both his hands on the ground and suddenly from the ground where the little child fell, wood appeared around him, so that when the fireworks exploded, the child was protected. After that, Kinoe lifted both hands from the ground and the wood went back into the ground.
Everyone who witnessed this rapid incident gaped.... including Kakashi who was very, very surprised that Kinoe could do such an amazing thing... also Sandaime who watched from his office balcony and was also shocked because only the first Hokage should have mastered the wood element.
Kakashi arrived at ground 3, where his ANBU team usually trained. The Sandaime was waiting there for him.
"You summoned me, sandaime?" Kakashi asked.
"I want to introduce a new member to your RO team..." said Sandaime.
"I've talked to him. I want you to guide him, even though he already has very great abilities. I'm sure you two will be able to work together well. And I'm also sure... he's very compatible with you..." said Sandaime while winking one eye.
Right after that someone appeared from behind the tree behind the sandaime. A person with long brown hair tied in a bell ribbon, in a complete Anbu uniform and a cat mask.
"Senpai." Tenzo said while removing his mask and smiling.
