After a few minutes of silence, she told him, “Can I sleep in here tonight?” “You can sleep in here every night,” he murmured and pressed a kiss to her forehead. 

Chapter 17

Dean startled awake – he was sweating profusely and trembling – the bed next to him was cool and empty – his heart dropped. Before he could think coherently, he was stumbling across the room and yanking the door open. By the time his foot landed in the hall a sweet smell hit his senses.

Leigh’s voice, and the sounds of utensils and dishes rattling hit his ears just before he rounded the corner into the kitchen. Dean froze at the sight before him – she was opening the door to the oven – the smell of a mixed berry pie getting stronger as she checked the crust and laid foil over the darkening edges.

“Honey I’m home!” yelled Eileen causing the girls to giggle as the boys stepped from the living-room and not the bathroom like they’d expected.

He had intended to go to his room and finish working off the hard-on she’d unintentionally given him but seeing her crying had taken care of that issue for now. But Dean pushed her hands away, practically jumping out of his seat, “you’re not ready for that,” he panted.

“What?” she implored, “but I”

“No,” he shouted and stalked off through the house and out the back door.

Chapter 13

“What the fuck?” she audibly groaned. ‘How did we go from him telling me I’m pretty to him completely rejecting me?’ she asked herself as she made her way to her room.

She couldn’t stay there that night, she decided – she couldn’t catch her breath, her face felt hot, and she wasn’t sure she could look at Dean without crying – so she threw some clothes into a bag and slipped out the front door. Carefully she headed out to the road and walked to Sam and Eileen’s.

By the time she knocked on his front door she had large tears streaming down her face.

That’s when Dean remembered Leigh’s account – she had enough money in there to buy a shop outright, he figured, and made it his goal to see if it was even plausible so he could bring it up to her.

A few miles down the road Leigha shouted from the backseat, “stop the car!”

The instant the Impala was still she launched out the door – leaning against the trunk, chest heaving and eyes wild as she muttered, “I can’t do this – what was I thinking. I left the house I need to go back.”

“Ya ok there?” Dean eyed her.

“No! I’m a horrible daughter – I never should have left. What if she comes back and I’m gone?!” she cried out, “it’ll break her heart.”

Tangled - Ch 2

Summary: What happens when a pattern of disappearances and human sacrifice leads the Winchester brothers to a witch and a 25 year old mystery that haunts one man and the town he made prosperous. Will the brothers survive this case and change not only their lives but the life of one very sheltered young woman?

Kidnapping, emotional abuse, narcist mother figure, control, manipulation, imprisonment (still just describing Mother G here), spn level violence, angst, self-loathing, guilt, death, slow burn, age-gap, eventual smut, and some fluff sprinkled in as needed ... “I love you more,” Leigha recited.

Chapter 2

The old home was a few miles out of town but it hadn’t taken them all that long to arrive near the property, Dean parked Baby in a hidden pull-off so they could make their way on foot. It would make things a bit more dangerous but they needed to survey the area in the day and check for traps, warding or just general trip hazards. After surveying the property from the woods, they made their way toward the house and garage.

“It’s almost more like a small castle,” Sam muttered, “from what I can tell it has an open-air courtyard in the center, but it’s probably an overgrown mess in there by now.”
