He turned back to face me properly, breathing a little easier now. “At least, not this time. My breathing was fast and shallow, as his words painted pictures in my mind. 

“Will you let me, Y/N?”

My answer was simple, obvious, and immediate.

His face softened and he reached out his hand, pushing his fingers through my hair and moving them down to grip the back of my neck. He pulled me close to him, and I could feel the heat that radiated from his tall, broad body. I skimmed my hands up his torso, fingers tingling as they passed over his skin.

I reached up to grip his shoulders, kneading the muscles there. He leaned down to skim his lips across my temple and down over my cheekbone; they felt like silk, his breath warm and soothing as it caressed me. He tipped my chin up as he reached my mouth, settling his lips over mine, pressing full and heavy.
