Well, what do we have here now? A former progressive darling who crossed over to the Zionist side. That didn't pay off at all. It doesn't pay to be an AIPAC sellout, Mondaire.
I would be as sapped as most people if I pretended that this country ever gave a fuck about me.
But I know the truth: This country has never cared about me. The police got more funding and more militarized over the past four years and the same thing will happen over the next four years, especially in the wake of anti-genocide protests and the battle over dozens of Cop Cities.
The other thing is that many of the same people who voted for Harris either compromised their principles in July or never gave two shits about dead children in Gaza in the first place.
America was going to reward failure no matter who won. It was either going to be rewarding the same failed neoliberal policies of the past and a whole ass genocide, OR it would be rewarding someone whose previous presidency was chaotic, fucked up handling the pandemic, filled the swamp to the brim with ugly people like Eliot Abrams and John Bolton and presided over the largest transfer of wealth in history (plus tax cuts). Americans chose the latter option.
Vote AGAINST the NC Constitutional Amendment!
If you vote in North Carolina, you're going to see this on your ballot. Looks pretty straightforward, right?
But it's a trap placed by the GOP. ⬇️⬇️⬇️
Voting "For" this referendum will remove the phrase "and every person who has been naturalized" from this section on voter eligibility in the NC constitution. This could place the future voting rights of about 400,000 naturalized US citizens in the state in jeopardy.
Just a reminder - it's already illegal for non-citizens to vote! There's no evidence that this happens in significant numbers anywhere in the country, and North Carolina has restrictions in place against it happening at all, like the voter ID law that's now in effect.
(The voter ID law disproportionately affects POC, as well as transgender voters, both of whom are more likely to vote Democratic as well as lack the needed ID, but that's another post.)
Voting "Against" on this measure will leave the state constitution unchanged.

Note: edited Oct. 16, 2024 to add large title.
I have every intention on voting against this unnecessary bullshit
The leading candidates are running for Ronald Reagan's 12th term
Another Squad member has bitten the dust thanks to AIPAC. Like Jamaal Bowman, she was more focused on her celebrity than on her constituents. I hope that book deal was worth it because she'll probably go back into obscurity after this. Also, she was the one who showed up at the D.C. March for Medicare for All and chastised on the ground activists and less than a month later participated in that stunt around the eviction moratorium that resulted in Biden's extension being struck down by SCOTUS because Congress refused to do its job. Don't get me started on her vote to block the rail strike.
The Justice Democrats' ranks are thinning as "reforming the Democratic Party from within" has collapsed without any real demands after eight years.
When you abandon your base the way Jamaal Bowman did, you get run out of your district by your foes.
Abandon Biden > All efforts to vote "uncommitted" in next Tuesday's primary
Keep a close eye out on this one
Of course, this is a distraction that is meant to re-mainstream xenophobia. Any nonwhite or non-Hispanic who's on the side of "building the wall" is an opp.
Replacing a pacifist with an ex-CIA daughter in law who has no political experience proves (in addition to Silicon Valley techbros funding him) that RFK Jr is controlled opposition once and for all.
Trump got exposed on Covid. Any Covid skeptic who still supports the guy is now exposed as a hypocrite. MAGA has exposed itself as a cult that likes to play team sports.
