T- 10 hours until polls open for Election Day!!

In this election, the only party that has put childcare at the forefront of their platform is the NDP- who will bring in a national childcare program with one million spaces opened across the country for no more than 15 dollars a day. That means there will be more regulations in childcare facilities and there will be more parents who can enter the workforce free-mindedly. In 10 hours vote for change. Vote for the NDP.

T - 45 hours until the polls open for Election Day.

Around the age of 45/50, our parents have worked hard to provide for us. This has been especially true for South Asian Canadians whose parents were immigrants to this country. Our society should be proud of the hard work and dedication they put in.

However, under the Conservative government's Bill C-24, many of our parents who are naturalized citizens have no become second-class. Moreover, immigration into Canada has become immensely xenophobic- as is evident with how only Christian Syrian refugees were being accepted- and family reunification can take up to 20 years. This is simply unacceptable.

An NDP government will repeal Bill C-24 and reinstitute an EQUAL citizenship system, one in which a woman can wear a niqab and swear in and it NOT be made into a crisis. Furthermore, an NDP government will bring in 46,000 Syrian refugees over the next four years, REGARDLESS of religion, and 10,000 of those will be brought in by the end of this year. Also, unlimited private sponsorship will be instituted so more people can come here.

However this will only be possible if YOU elect an NDP government.

In 45 hours vote for fairness, vote for change, vote for the NDP.

I don’t like to be partisan on tumblr, because all my other social media is partisan, but when opposing Bill C51 please keep in mind that the Conservative Part of Canada is the party that drafted this bill. LPC supporters think that the Liberal Party is progressive, but the LIBERALS SUPPORT THIS BILL TOO. That’s right, Justin Trudeau is supporting this bill- not so sexy anymore, eh?

The only major party (emphasis on ONLY) that opposes this bill vehemontly is the NDP. The NDP has always stood up for minority rights, and has always opposed the oppressive whims of Harper as he continuely ignores the plight of our First Nations women.

Please keep that in mind when you go to the polls this federal election. Do you want a TRULY progressive representative, or one that poses as progressive and acts otherwise? 

NDP outnumbers conservative MPs and amends the agenda and secures a future vote on an inquiry for missing First Nations women!!! This is the first time in a looong while that an opposition party has been able to defeat a majority government's agenda. Just think what an NDP government could achieve!  While Justin Trudeau is busy signing copies of his autobiography, Tom and the team are actually doing their job, fighting for Canadians, and succeeding.
