to this day I still care for peter quill bc he’s just the weird kid who got bullied in the eighties for listening to music all day and having a sick mom & he just happened to get kidnapped in the third grade by aliens. no wonder he didn’t mature emotionally considering his entire childhood was living with space pirates who told him the only thing he was good for was to eat, so he better get his act together. his education level is that of an eight year old, his last memory of his life on earth was his mom dying, and he was forced to become a criminal. he’s emotional intelligence is low, he can act childish, but despite it all he still has a good heart. his capacity to love was never taken away from him.

I just think we should cut peter some slack! he’s a deeply traumatized individual who was raised by criminals after watching his mom die, and yet he still finds joy in life! he saved the galaxy with a dance off and the power of friendship! he’s carried around cassettes for decades bc it reminds him of his mom! he calls himself starlord to cope! I don’t get why we all hate him so much ! hate chris pratt all u want but peter quill deserves better tbh
