Class President Asano, the Hero!  

Guess who finally got her own copy of the Assassination Classroom Graduation Album! I haven’t seen any translations of the chapter for Asano’s future (if we can call it that), so here you go! Sorry for the ‘meh’ quality of the scans. I tried, but I’m not used to uploading scans. I like how it’s basically an Asano version of the ‘Korosensei Quest’ series, so we get to see him mess with vidoegame tropes too! [My comments are in brackets BTW]

Page 1:

Asano: “Wha…What am I doing in a place like this?”

Asano: “…Tsk! How tedious. Give me your sword!!”

Asano: “Look closely for when the enemy is about to strike, and then strike first!! Do it after his previous breath, understand!!?”

Knights: “Ye…Yes”

Kingdom Newspaper: “Our hero has arrived!!”  

News blurb at the bottom: “Outbreak in slime population!!”

Asano: “….What’s with this sloppy public financing? Even if a Devil King doesn’t come, the nation is already on the verge of bankruptcy, is it not!? Call your minister! I’ll teach him, starting with the workings of economics!!”  [I agree. Videogame economics make no sense. How can a poke-ball be more expensive than fresh water!?]

Page 2:

Asano: “You’re a princess too!! That you keep getting kidnapped over and over shows a lack of crisis management!! Nowadays, princesses shouldn’t be so naïve to think that smiling is the extent of their function!!”  [Somebody needs to tell this to Princess Peach!]

Asano: “Giving me 50 gold pieces and a bronze sword as provisions, are you screwing with me!!? Starting with beating the foundation of your manufacturing industries into shape, I’ll give you quality supplies!!”  [Asano, that’s how everybody’s supposed to start off in a video game. With junk! But sure, let’s change the system XD]

Asano: “All right everyone, follow me!! I’m getting used to managing this interesting group!!”

Narrator: “The hero Gakushu had no way of knowing…that the strongest demon king of all was beginning to awaken.”

My thoughts:

Looks like Gakuho’s a demon king too! I remember when ‘Korosensei Quest’ was first posted online and saw that Korosensei was a demon king, I was wondering what the Chairman could possibly be. I didn’t even consider the possibility that they could both be demon kings, but I guess this makes the most sense. They’ve always been two of a kind. Judging by what’s stated at the end of this mini-chapter though, it seems that Chairman Asano is stronger. If this chapter is anything to go by, it looks like he hasn’t aged a bit in the past seven years or so either!

One thing I didn’t notice until I typed this translation was that literally every sentence Gakushu utters (with the exception of the first) ends with double exclamation points. This kid has no chill XD   I guess one thing he didn’t inherit from his father is his unshakably calm exterior. Maybe his hot-headed temperament is from his mother?

As goofy as this chapter is, I’d like to think it’s a bit of a metaphor for his future. He goes to a foreign land where things are much different from his hometown (i.e. Silicon Valley in America), gathers up his forces/employees, and makes his way through the inefficiencies of the government as he establishes his business. Heck if I know what the whole Demon King Gakuho bit at the end could represent though XD

Graduation Album Mini-Chapter: The Sniper Duo’s Employment Difficulties

Here’s an English translation of the fourth chapter from the Assassination Classroom Graduation Album, which features Chiba and Hayami! 

Page 1

Chiba: I failed all of my interviews…

Chiba: I want to die

Hayami:  Should we change your hairstyle?

Chiba: It seems that not being able to get a proper look at my eyes gives them a bad impression of me after all

Chiba: It’s calming for me though

Hayami: Hide them. Your eyes are too strong.

Hayami: You’re even more likely to fail with flashy hair

Hayami: Chiba…you’re not suited to finding employment

Hayami: If you changed your hair, you wouldn’t be Chiba anymore

Hayami: I’m starting my part-time work now, so I’ll show you the things you cannot do

Narrator: As she said that, Hayami mastered the skills of business reception

Hayami: Polish your first blade

Hayami : So that it suits what you see in the profoundly quiet world behind your hair

Hayami: As for your second blade…that will be me

Book Chiba is holding: “Starting a business: How to be a first-rate architect”

Signs:  “X Corporation”, “Chiba Ryuunosuke Architectural Office”, and “Y Stock Company”

Hayami: We have kept you waiting

Hayami: First, a greeting from the company chief

I took a guess at what the text on the book says since the kanji just kind of looked like blobs. That font size is for ants! Also, the 1st and 3rd signs are cut off, so since I only see part of the name, I just named them X and Y respectively.

Considering that Hayami is also a very quiet person, it’s quite impressive that she was able to become so skilled in reception. Although she told Chiba that those types of roles don’t suit him, I could have argued the same for her, minus the hair problem.

Interesting that Chiba started his own business too. Maybe Asano and Chiba can have a business partnership someday!

Karma’s Graduation Album Mini-Chapter: Hell Fire

Here’s the last of the mini-chapters in English! I moved this one to be the last one because there were puns and word play  and I wanted to make sure my explanations were clear.

Page 1

Glasses Guy:  I’ve heard that our authorities have a lot of factional disputes. We should be careful not to get involved.

Karma: Heeh…

Karma: Conversely, isn’t that rather interesting?

Mysterious Bureaucrat: Akabane Karma…huh

Mysterious Bureaucrat: It’s a name that suggests one would be burnt to death by his hellish flames

Karma: Secretary-kun, connect me to the professor

Terasaka: Don’t look so self-important!!

Guys: W-with this, we could die….

Karma:  Die, you say?

Karma: Before being killed by overseas forces, let’s die once

Karma: Whichever way you go, your industry is not going to survive

Narration: Look, Karma

Narration: That…is the fate of a bureaucrat who stubbornly clings to his ideals

Nagisa:  Why do I get wasted every time I meet you…

Karma: So that I can freely complain without you remembering a thing

Black haired girl: Apparently he had told his former teacher that

Black haired girl: He wants to become a helpful bureaucrat in times like this*

Karma: …To think that you would double-cross me

Karma:  You’re awfully different from the small glasses type I like

Karma: But I also love guys like you

Karma: Because they’re so interesting

Notes:

The title is a pun on Karma’s name. 業火 means “hell fire”, but 業 is also the kanji used to spell Karma’s name. 業 by itself literally means karma, although it’s usually not read as “karma” like we see with his name.  IMO Karma’s story has the best title because of this (Followed by Class President Asano: THE HERO). Puns are great.

*The kana written here is こういう which translates as “like this”. However, the kanji characters used here, 災害, means “disaster”, so that line can also be translated as:

“He wants to become a helpful bureaucrat in times of disaster”

Seems like hard, stressful work Karma is doing, but he’s trying hard. I’m glad Terasaka was able to cameo too. I had not expected him to appear in the five mini-chapters.

Mohawk Guy: Your lessons at teaching practice have a great reputation, so I made some secret preparations to send you to Paradise High School. Nagisa: …… Long haired student: Our dream? Long haired student: A world without teachers! Nagisa: I won’t let go Nagisa: Because my teacher would have done the same!

Page 2

Random student 1: It’s  really Haruna Mase! Random student 2: Super-cute! Random student 3: Awesome! This is the first time I’ve seen an actress in person!   Kayano: I…I thought we’d be able to meet, just the two of us!! Random student 4: Don’t mess with me, we’re all high schoolers!! There’s no reason that there’d be guys here that couldn’t survive the law of the jungle!! Random student 5: Ah, what? Nagisa, you’re already getting out? Nagisa: You guys mentioned… a rumor about twenty-eight heroes who saved the Earth. Nagisa: That’s absolute nonsense. Nagisa: Those who were there weren’t heroes. No matter where they are, they are killers.

…It kind of sounds like Nagisa is planning to murder those guys in the background. Haruna Mase is Kayano’s stage name in case the name doesn’t sound familiar to you.

There’s a lot of random characters in this. I hope this isn’t too confusing to read in spite of all the lines from “Random student X”. I have to admit that the rough way a few students talked were hard for me to understand. Some of them have a thick gangster accent, along with a lot of slang that isn’t in most dictionaries…

Hopefully this is all correct, but there might be a few little mistakes ^.^

Graduation Album Mini-Chapter: The Everyday Life of the Karasuma Household

I ended up doing the translations out of order after all, but here’s Karasuma’s and Irina’s chapter in English!

Takaoka: The sequel to the incident that occurred seven years ago

Takaoka: You and your wife must know of it

Irina: That’s right! The battle between husband and wife never ends!! Tonight will be my win!!

Irina: …How mortifying!!

Irina: I’ve been treated like a baby for these seven years…!!

Karasuma: It’s that guy’s genes…Are these…clones!?

Irina: I’ve heard that our child has built up a harem at the nursery. Just who does she take aft-

Karasuma: You.

Karasuma: Wasn’t the possibility that it would be used as a weapon abandoned!!?

Karasuma: A dangerous location!?

Irina: Yes, I’ll go anywhere!!

Irina:  Although, I hate it when I’m ordered around by someone other than you  

Takaoka: KAARASUMAAAAAAAA!!

Karasuma:  We shoulder the heavy things

Technically, I can’t say with 100% certainty that the guy in the hat and the one screaming “KARASUMAAAA” is actually Takaoka but he sure sounds (and looks) like him, and it’s a lot cleaner than writing “random guy”. Karasuma’s and Irina’s marriage is going more or less how I expected.
