#I love the way you use light in your pieces.. but in this one it's such an interesting subversion#your Yangvik pieces usually contain a sense of warmth. the flickering flame or sunlight#it illuminates them. renews them both#but in this one her back is turned to the golden light behind her. her face and front completely shadowed#stressing the deep lines under her eyes. the exhaustion to the point of defeat#what's there to care about that won't be eventually taken from her? it shouldn't matter. worse happened#loss upon loss upon loss. she should remember well enough. maybe if she insists that it doesn't matter it won't touch her anymore#it won't feel like a loss. and yet she's in the dark. as if everything that illuminated her life before is behind her#Yangchen#the legacy of yangchen
