What if the reader was slacking off during her shift on the Resolute and is caught by none other than Fives (who is also slacking because what else would he do haha)
What you do from here is up to you (I just don’t want a whole lot of angst lol)

This one was soooo much fun to write because who doesn’t want to slack off and hang out with Fives? I mean I definitely would. No doubt.
I’m sorry it’s been so long since I’ve posted or updated, but things have been crazy with me. Any free time I’ve had, I’ve been doing other things. Which is definitely good, but I missed writing. I’m hoping that with the Bad Batch coming out, I’ll slip back into a Star Wars mindset that’ll let me start working my way through these prompts in my inbox. As always, my inbox is always open so feel free to pop in and say hi, ask questions, request something, or just come vibe with me. I’m always around!
Happy Star Wars Day!! May the 4th Be With All of You!! :))))

Slacking Off
Things had been quiet. Too quiet.
Which is why you didn’t see any issues with taking it a little easier during your shift. The last few campaigns had been hard on everyone. In fact, you only had very recently caught up on all of your repairs from the campaign last week. Before that, it had been nonstop. You’d barely had time to sleep let alone just relax. It was just one repair after another.
And while you were technically still on duty, technically you had finished all your tasks. You absolutely could go looking for a droid that needs a tune up or anything really, but why leave your small workspace that nearly everyone forgot about?
You were going to enjoy the quiet while you had it, sue you.
Now, normally no one ever bothered to come back to your small, cluttered corner. It was kind of hard to find unless you knew it was there and frankly it was comically small. You might have more space if you commandeered a supply closet on the 5th level. You only barely functioned.
However, a few troopers you’d gotten close to over the last six months often stopped by to visit or check in. Most of the time they stopped by between shifts to say hello or to bring you something to eat (since you were notorious for forgetting). And you had expected that trend to continue, even today. But you had bumped into Echo on your way near the mess hall and he had said they’d be busy all day with training and their shifts.
You didn’t expect anyone to stop by.
Which meant you could slack off without worrying about being caught.
Which would also explain why you were laying on the ground, feet up in the air as you sat against the wall. Currently, you were tossing small snacks up in the air aiming for your mouth as a small mouse droid you’d fixed earlier frantically buzzed around your head, no doubt stressing about the mess you were making.
But that was fine. You’d clean up later.
You were 5 for 19 in terms of successfully catching the small snacks in your mouth. Which wasn’t a good record, but you were slowly improving.
It was about to be 6 for 20 when you saw a gloved hand appear in your field of vision just before you could catch the snack.
You froze, mouth open, noticing the familiar blue paint and ARC trooper armor.
“I can explain!”
