It's now been a year since my sister passed away. This past week Camp About Face held a... Melmorial for her down at Bradford Woods in Indiana.
More after the break but I think I've gotten closure since then. That and I think for the next few years I'm going to paint up a full Star in her honor. I finished the Hammerhead last year and this year, a Stormcrow TC/K. We'll see how things go from here.

interesting. I have used the "relax" technique just in cold Windchill situations... like walking across a college campus in December and January. I would be shivering and shaking and tenser than a curtain rod in a doorway. And then I would relax my muscles and all of a sudden I could stop shaking. I had no idea this was a real thing, but I told a few people who were suffering to just relax and they thought I was crazy. But it just works.

So, closing down commission printing for the foreseeable future. Shipping to the US is just too much of a problem and I don't have the energy to troubleshoot further.
For smaller orders, I shipped in 20 gram envelopes and printed a cage to protect the minis. Before an order made it to Ohio, a customs agent apparently opened the cage, pulled out the mini, and then put the two back in the envelope separately. Result: pulverized miniature that I had to replace and ship again. Even otherwise successful shipments often saw a broken leg or arm.

Yeah, that's me out. One third of the orders shipped to the States have resulted in unacceptable levels of damage. The only option left is a bloody solid wooden boxes and I just can't make that economical.

Sorry but I have no sympathy for the guy. He got sued because he was selling the narrative that Sandy hook School Shooting was a setup, parents were actors and children that died never existed which resulted in his listeners harassing and threatening those poor people. If that's not an absolutely disgusting behaviour in pursuit of profit then I don't know what is.
And it's not free speech, it's libel and defamation. He was making clear defamatory statements about the parents.
Not saying the guy did nothing wrong. He clearly did. I don't think any of that was good.
But it was clearly an excessive and politically motivated sentence. It was carried out with the goal of permanently silencing a long time and prominent dissident voice.
Possible but from what I've seen he's been pulling every dirty trick in the book to keep his cash and give nothing to the families he hurt. He's had it coming.
As I understand, he basically did nothing to defend himself and did stuff like accidentally send incriminating documents to the plaintiffs. Its not surprising he wound up with the worse case verdict.
I've played an incredly large number of Battletech games in the past week- 11 since Friday. Tactics brain on full overdrive. Got to trot my Wraith out (to its usual devastating performance) and try playing with the rockstar melee mech that is the Nightsky.
I was playing a lot at FLAGcon this past weekend- we ran a pair of Classic Salvage events and a 350 Alpha Strike tournament. I won and came second in the salvage but my Kuritans placed last in the AS event- I misplayed a few of the matches kinda poorly and had some unlucky rolls. Overall still a fun event and I've gotnsome new ideas for my lists.
