An idea:When Danny uses ghost power,the lichtenberg scare will light up.

As much as I enjoy reading the different Marvel/BNHA crossovers with Danny Phantom, this is the one I really want to see! Especially during the first half of Yu Yu Hakusho.  After all, I imagine there’d be enough ghostly folklore to tempt the Fenton family into crossing the Pacific.

Things I want to see/bits of my headcanon:

So Paulina invites them to her party because she knows that Danny Phantom usually shows up in the same places as Danny Fenton, and I don’t think that connection has been made by any other characters.

If they ever had a plot where someone figured it out with only the clues given, she’d probably have been the one to figure it out.

She was always smarter than her archetype demanded.

Danny Phantom Reign Storm - Danny unmasked Valerie to Damon.

Everyone is obsessed with fighting Danny because he has a Space Core.

Normally, ghosts with Space Cores disappear into their Lairs and never leave them.

The Lair of a Space Core ghost is half in and half out of the Infinite Realms, an Infinite Realm island that's floating and overseeing a particular subset of space and time. It's calming and addictive to Space Cores, so they usually never leave.

This means that a lot of ghosts have no idea if Space Core ghosts are strong or not.

But then Phantom popped up.

A baby ghost with a Space Core.

The other ghosts don't know why he hasn't secluded himself in his Lair, but they need to fight him before he does!

Meanwhile, Danny found a door in the Infinite Realms that was his. He knew it just by looking, and when he opened it, it was to an island that overlooked the final moments of the Milky Way galaxy, the blackhole at the center of it finally eating the entire thing.

The pull of peace and tranquility could be felt even from outside of the door, and Danny was quick to slam it shut.

Nope.

Nope nope nope.

Never going in there again.

Danny stared out at the vast expanse of space, the stars glittering all around him, planets and galaxies visible hundreds and thousands of miles away, yet as clear as though they were right next to him.

He saw stars forming and dying, black holes growing and collapsing. He saw the start of the universe and the destruction of everything, all at once.

Danny knew that he could stay there forever, content, at peace. It was everything he could hope for. It was everything he could dream of. It was beautiful. It was calm. It was perfect.

Danny could shut the door behind him, forget everything that was bothering him, and stay for all eternity.

He only realized he was shaking when he found himself back in the Infinite Realms, door against his back. Sweat beaded on his forehead.

It hurt, leaving that. Danny felt like he was going to fall to his knees, physically nauseous at the thought of leaving that room behind, but at the same time he was terrified.

He almost lost everything.

His family, his friends, his whole entire life. He almost left it all behind. In fact, he still wanted to. It felt like Danny needed to look behind the door, just for another second, a minute, it won’t hurt to take ten minutes, just an hour or two to investigate, a day or so to fly around and explore all the planets and maybe-

No. No, he couldn’t. If he opened that door he might never leave.

And that terrified him.

Now imagine one of his rogues finding him having a mental breakdown in front of his door

It's one of the ones who he can actually hang out with on good terms occasionally. I'm thinking Ember or Johnny and Kitty. After seeing and then resisting the contents of that door Danny flew as far and as fast as he could away from the door before finally breaking down. He only stopped when he physically couldn't go anymore. They find him floating in the middle of nowhere and he looks rough.

When they learn why he's freaking out? They are horrified.

The space core ghosts don't disappear because they are weak or think they're better than the other ghosts or any of the reasons that have been theorized. They disappear because once they find their lair, not only is there an insane level of addictiveness to even being near the lair but it feels not just wrong but downright harmful to leave.

And Danny, this baby space core ghost that they all have been harassing out of their own sick curiosity, just went through what is possibly the most painful thing a space core ghost can go through. He rejected his lair. The only thing that could be more harmful would be the shattering of their core.

Now I imagine Sam knocking a poor ghost knight unconscious for half his gear and a little while later Tucker and Danny come across him like, "Oh, sweet! Free gear! How convenient."

Here’s a list of times Danny has been spotted by the townspeople as Phantom outside of ghost fights!

1.) Laying down half asleep on a traffic light post, no one saw him fall

2.) Standing outside on the street during a big blizzard sipping what people are guessing was hot cocoa

3.) On the roof of Casper High looking at the sky

4.) In Casper High’s library browsing the outer space section

5.) In the park playing with a ghost puppy, who unfortunately kept turning into a large ghost dog and growling at anyone who tried to come close (it’s worth noting that Phantom kept trying to calm him down and apologizing, with the exception of Maddie, who seemed to make the ghost dog even angrier)

6.) Having a friendly chat with a large ghost wolf in the nearby woods

7.) On the street during a blizzard, waving at a large ghost resembling a yeti and going “Hi, dad! :D”

8.) Asleep on one of those couches in the local library with a book on astrophysics on his chest

i wouldn't be surprised if there's a facebook page dedicated to photos Phantom sightings in the same style as local cat celebrity facebook pages

Someone says that they thought they saw him sleeping in a pile of snow and Danny creates a Facebook account, GhostKid, just to comment “You did, I just didn’t want to talk to anyone, and the snow was very cozy” and vanish. Danny, Sam, and Tucker all watch with popcorn as people loose their minds trying to figure out if it’s really him or not.

The Justice League don't specialize in much. If you ask them, they'd say otherwise. Unless they're one of the Bats, because they acknowledge that, especially with magic. They hate it, but they have connections and will at least ask for more details to deal with the situation at hand. Though they'll need proof.

That's the thing really. Proof. Because how are you going to get proof of something if everything gets repaired by the end? Or maybe you're the villain here according to the public. Or maybe everything you say is just plain crazy that nobody even knows what's going on from the start!

It was only when another group was formed when everything became clear. They were frowned upon, unknown, spoke nonsense, and never asked for help. They were the survivors that played hero. They were the shadowed version of the Justice League.

They were Justice League: Dark

Dash, now a Junior, has had a Realization. Fenton does not weigh nearly enough.

He was doing his usual thing, picking on the dweeb but toned down because he's Maturing With Age, when he decided to pick Fenton up. Just to make fun of him for being short, that was all.

But Fenton weighs practically nothing.

Fenton wriggled out of his grip and scurried away with his friends, but Dash couldn't stop thinking about how...concerning. That was.

Dash starts looking up nutrition.

Starts paying attention in Health Class.

Starts watching cooking channels to learn how to cook.

Starts making more food than he can eat, balanced nutritionally for Fenton, and sitting menacingly in front of the dweeb until said dweeb ate the whole thing.

Starts stalking up behind Fenton and shoving snacks into his backpack, with whispered threats against his wellbeing if he didn't eat them.

Dash, over the course of his Junior year, becomes the school's most terrifying fitness coach the student body have ever seen.

And he charges everyone for his services; except Fenton.

He's decided forcing Fenton to be healthy is his new, socially acceptable way of bullying him.

Mmm, but what if Danny just doesn't put on weight? Either because his ghostly activities burn too much extra energy or because his ghost half resists allowing his human half to change too much from how he was when he died.

However you spin it, point stands.

No matter what Dash does, Fenton stays the same scrawny fucker he's been since Freshman year.

...

Huh. Now that he thinks about it, it's true. Fenton just hasn't changed, like, at all, since they were Freshmen. Foley has beard scruff. Wes nearly knocks his head on doorframes now. He'll, even Mikey shot up and filled out over the summer. But Fenton still hasn't.

That's... hmm... With all the research he's been doing, Dash knows now that there's these "environmental factors" that can delay or stall puberty. Malnutrition and stress.

But it's been months that Dash knows Fenton's been getting at least one good meal and two snacks a day. So even if he's not getting enough good food at home, there still should have been some improvement, right? And as for stress, what kind of stress could a slacker like Fenton be under?

So what if it's not environmental? What if Fenton is sick? Something preventing Fenton from actually absorbing the nutrients Dash knows he's ingesting. Something wrong with his gut? Maybe the infamous Fenton Bladder isn't a bladder thing at all.

Or maybe he's puking. That's... a disturbing thought... Clearly Dash needs to dig deeper here.
