Headcanon that when the fight broke out in chapter 72, everyone of the 104th (including Jean and Eren) waited for Reiner to step in and stop them…..but then they remembered :/

grisha is not one to act without thought, but he has to take chances now if he wants to survive. wait for the right time, the owl said. he does not know when the right time may come. so he lives as though it is the next day, the hour, the next second. he worms his way into the hierarchy of this strange, new world, and he does not stop to look back. he can’t afford to lose himself.
this is how he courts carla, with complete and utter abandon. on the surface, there is something delightful about living without fear; but below, fear is a great, monstrous vein pulsing beneath his skin. he tries not to remember the past as he desperately pushes his new life forward. he gets married and tries not to think about dina. til death were they not to part, and as far as he can reason, mindless is not dead.
he loves carla now. but he keeps his first wedding ring: tired, rusted, hidden from the light.
