So after studying engineering for couple of years I’m now applying to study architecture. It’s a two part process here in Finland. First you do advance assignments and if those get approved you get to do the exams that were this week. It was two days of art exams and the third day had math and natural science exams (I didn’t have to attend the math one).
Here’s my advance assignments. They got accepted and I was able to attend the actual tests. The assignments always have three parts. There’s some building/structure that you first have to make a scale model of with some specific material, then paint/draw it from air and lastly paint/drawn it from inside.
This time there was a story that a group of archaeologists find a building of ancient civilization under snow in the Antarctica. They get rid of the snow and find it to have modular, cell-type structures and with different sized pillars and cupolas/arches. The model had to be built with egg cartons and grill sticks and painted white. The above and inside paintings could be done with free techniques. I used aquarelles and acrylics.
Tagging my art peeps. As always I’m happy to add you or remove you from the tag list! @madmoonink @siarven @kainablue @mvcreates @ettawritesnstudies @paper-shield-and-wooden-sword
