Advent is officially on: there’s THE Christmas film on the telly, Czechoslovak/East German Tři oříšky pro Popelku (Drei Haselnüsse für Aschenbrödel in Germany or Three Gifts for Cinderella in the UK) from 1973. And yes, I’m reusing last year’s candles because they hadn’t completely burned down.
