I’m glad they had this scene. Because it showed that Hailey acknowledged that what she said wasn’t exactly right or correct. I’m also happy Jay was there to reassure her. I love little moments like this.

i just like how they started off like 🚶🏻♂️ 🚶🏼♀️ but then fell into step with each other like 👫. Cuties who should be a couple they are!! ⬆️
Hailey was such a pissed off girlfriend — PaRtNeR — in this scene. “We’re gonna talk about this NOW.” You just knew an argument was coming between her & Jay. ⬆️
Hailey was worried for Jay & his job cause he was risking it all for Camila. Jay knew that too, even if he tried to match her angered expression (seriously how tf do Jesse and Tracy keep doing that...the EXACT SAME expressions?!) ⬆️
“So you are sleeping with her?” - Hailey asked him. Note her expression. And then notice Jay’s too. Hailey looked like she was desperately trying to understand this very different Jay Halstead standing in front of her, and Jay looked regretful or apologetic for admitting it to her. ⬆️
But then she softened after she could see Jay lying through his teeth when he said “I’m fine, I’m fine.” She knew he wasn’t fine. She could see it in his eyes, hear it in his voice when he begged her to “please” just give him a few hours before they went to voight. Ugh I love protective partners. ⬆️

Yes hi so if you didn’t know any better or if ya didn’t know this show and who they were you’d prolly think “OH LOOK A COUPLE” byeeeee ⬆️
Eeeeeee their little itty bitty smirks and subtle intrigue when jay was like “you didn’t put anything about the fight” and hailey went 🤨 “you seriously asking me that??” Gotta love their back and forth ⬆️
Then Hailey went back to being all business because she wanted to check in with Jay (AGAIN MIND YOU) to see how he was doing w/all of this. This is also the first time we hear her suggest he could talk to somebody. Note how she didn’t press it, just a soft suggestion. I love a work wife helping her work husband ⬆️
And again, even though jay went on the defensive a little bit and insisted he was FiNe, Hailey’s gentleness did falter. She just wanted to make sure nothing got triggered since she witnessed it firsthand. I’ll say it till the end of time SHE CARES SO MUCH ABOUT HIM. ⬆️
