I wish that people would believe in us more – as a generation.  Honestly, we are capable of more than they think we are.  We are not solely on this planet to look at our phones, I can promise you that.  I also wish that people would believe in me more.  I am not my mistakes and I am not solely where I come from.  I am not just a white woman.  I am much more than that.  I am not what you think – I am practically everything and anything else.  I’m not some judgement you have of me.  I am not some assumption you’ve made.  I am not uneducated or unaware.  I am a 20 year old college student that knows she’s had a decent life.  But I also know that others have not – and that saddens me.  I want our world to continue to change for the better, not for the worse.  But in order to do that, we must not be afraid.  I do not want to be afraid anymore.  I want to be okay with being myself and having my own opinions.  I do not want to be persecuted for it.  We are all equal.  We are all important.  So are our brains, bodies, minds, thoughts, feelings, and actions.  We are valid.
