Lucy Chen is my favorite because never have I ever related to a character in such realistic ways before. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good coming of age story and teen angst, but I really relate to Lucy’s psych background, how she learns, and her personality. I took psych courses in school too and I really like how she incorporates it into her current profession. She always asks questions and is willing to learn — always taking notes too; I’m the same way! — and I’m like that too. She listens and is there for her friends to offer support; I try my best to do that in my life as well.
She’s creative, intuitive, definitely an empath, she feels things deeply — like all emotions, good and bad. I too feel things deeply and an a very empathetic person. Yes, I am a talker - I talk things out too! I’m creative (hello writing! Course, I haven’t written a screenplay like Lucy has...I have written a manuscript though!) PS: gotta love a social media maven, yes honey! (same)
In physicality, we’re both shorties and we’ve got the brown eyes and brown hair going for us. 👩🏻 In all honesty, I really appreciate how Melissa is as a human, like her body type and how diverse the cast is in general. Speaking of Melissa, I applaud her transparency on social media and her honest portrayal of Lucy! 🙌💛 a true queen.
Lucy can be shy at times, but then also sassy or a bit sarcastic; she’s always sweet and kind. I hope I come across that way to others (I’ve been told I’m nice; people that know me quite well know I’m known for my sarcasm HA). She’s optimistic overall and smiley ☺️ she radiates positivity and I try to do that too!!
Her style is superb and I absolutely adore her outfits. I’d definitely rock her wardrobe! Her hair and makeup = goals too! I like how she switches it up from time to time, but also has a few signatures. Same, same, SAME.
She can have moments of doubt or dismay, but she’s also a fighter. I can say the same for myself. I just really love how there’s a strong female character who’s not afraid to be vulnerable too. And again, I applaud Melissa’s portrayal and just her good heart - she is light and brings Lucy to life for us every week on The Rookie & does amazing work. I simply can see quite a bit of me in Lucy Chen and it’s got me feeling all the feels. 🥺💖 k I’m done idk I just felt like sharing because she comes back to me tomorrow. SO EXCITED FOR IT. ❤️🤗
