Hailey finds Jay

I’m gonna need a minute to process my emotions. (Also it was slightly awkward to have Jesse look like he’s winking the whole time but I’ll forgive the man because JAY IS IN PERIL).

Okay.

Hailey Upton found Jay Halstead. Like that in and of itself is significant right there. She was the one who so desperately wanted to find him & she finally did. That look in her eyes? It’s not only relief that her partner is okay but it’s relief that her worst fear is not realized. That the man she cares about so much is alright & that they’ll live to fight another day as the best duo of intelligence. It’s also a look of “I’m trying to pour all my emotions into said eye contact so please understand that” — because she knows how important it is that he gets out of there safe, you know? Like she wanted to get him out of there. She needed to.

And then Jay, you literally see the sigh of relief the man has when he realizes it’s Hailey that’s there for him. The fourth GIF? He’s like oh thank goodness she’s here. Because that relief is like his safety net. Like he’s okay because she’s there. Because he didn’t know if he’d see her again. And it’s beautiful that he can. (But then of course being the good man he is he has to go get Angela hence the breaking of their glorious eye contact and blahblahblah because I can’t talk about the end scene or I’ll sob). So that’s all I have to say.

I know I didn’t say that like they love each other — but they do. Hailey was desperate to find him because she can’t live without him & Jay was so relieved to see her because he can’t be without her either. They work. They get each other. They trust and respect each other. That’s the purest form of love there is. (Plus Rick Eid said so, so carry on). 😄

@cpdhalstudfan anything else to add? I didn’t wanna jump all the into the obvious conclusion in case they really put Hailey and Jay through the ringer; but I mean it’s obvious that genuine feelings are there, you know?
