I’m aware the closed captions are slightly off but I’m still wondering if this moment (Talia’s speech to Lucy) has weighed on Chen at all in pushing her feelings down/away when it comes to Tim Bradford. I know they’re not rookie/TO now but she’s still under his command as his sergeants aide... so there’s still a power difference.

Just wondering if Lucy’s maybe internalized that message from Talia, and given how things ended w/John Nolan, then maybe she tried so hard not to get invested again (if you recall, she actually liked the relationship more than John did — or took it more seriously) because she doesn’t want to be hurt over a workplace relationship again.

But then, you know because it’s Tim & they’ve been through so much, I’m assuming that’s where her struggle is. Because there are these feelings there & she’s had a brief moment of realization before (helloooooo 4x01!) — and maybe during the dance & now maybe in this week’s all new episode.

But since Lucy is one to try and think things through, I’m wondering if any of these past happenings will inform her decision. Or rather, hinder it. Because let’s face it: we all know she & Tim are meant to be together — everything else be damned. 😅 I just hope they both can figure that out sooner rather than later.....or at the very least, have more realizations by 4x22 haha.
