She was SO mad at Hank. I just love how she marched right into his office though and demanded an explanation. She didn’t cause a scene, but she wanted an answer & I can respect that. Besides, at least she fought for her partnership, unlike *coughcough* Erin by the end of s4 *coughcough.* [disclaimer: I am well aware Sophia Bush was leaving at the end of s4 but I mean they could’ve done more to make it seem like she cared about switching up the partners in 4x22 if they really wanted to, y’know? The fact that she was so nonchalant about it was telling I think, especially for where Linstead was due to be headed.... yikesarama.] ⬆️
Look at her face (in the photo on the left) after she asks: “Then why split us up?” She’s so confused & lost like she’s dumbfounded by why in the world Voight would do that out of the blue. Ugh. Poor sad bby Hailey she just wants to work with her boyfriend okay is that too much to ask I think not!!!!!! ⬆️ she seemed to calm down when Voight explained his reasoning behind it, so at least she didn’t flip completely...though I’m sure she was still a little pissed. Cause she’s right, they DO work well together. And look at her face after Hank tells her why she & Jay were the only detective’s to join the unit. She’s at peace with what he said because she knows it’s true. “It’s better to find the right people before they learn the wrong habits” aka: Jay Halstead is the right person for Hailey Upton and Hailey Upton is the right person for Jay Halstead. Period. End of story. 😭❤️
