While season 1 episode 5 was airing, the author of DuRaRaRa! Narita Ryohgo twitted about the timing of Saruhiko turning his head when Saruhiko and Misaki walked passed the statues (in episode 5 season 1). And Miyazawa Tatuki (Red from GoRA) replied that it’s because Saruhiko sensed the scent of Misaki that’s why he turned his head and looked back to where Misaki just walked pass.

“I can smell you Misaki ohhhhh you there!!!!” HAHAHAHAHAHA thanks GoRA this is not even headcannon anymore.
