Rin manages to ask Haruka out on their first real date. He has the whole evening planned, right down to what shoes and socks he wants to wear. He needs perfection. Haruka deserves perfection.
He didn’t say the word ‘date.’
They go see a movie. All goes well except Rin’s a ball of nerves. He talks himself into putting his arm over Haruka’s shoulder, and Haruka just stares at him for a moment before turning back to the movie.
Rin wonders if Haruka even realizes it’s a date.
They go to dinner afterward (because Gou’s fashion magazines said to see a movie and then go to dinner, so that there’s something to talk about, not that he reads Gou’s fashion magazines), and it’s the usual. It’s small talk at a small diner. Barely date-talk, because they already know so much.
He wonders if Haruka knows it’s a date yet again. Doubt sets in. Rin hadn’t really said the word ‘date,’ after all.
He walks Haruka back to his house, all the way up the steps, right to his door. The night has surely been a failure. Haruka and him had a good time, yeah, but that was it. A good time, no new groundwork, certainly nothing to write home about…
Rin asks Haruka if he had a good time, and Haruka says yes.
That answer will do.
Rin puts on a smile says “Good night,” or something akin, and turns to leave with what’s left of his hope, but Haruka takes his wrist and tugs him back. Both boys hesitate before Haruka kisses Rin and pulls away.
"You didn’t do it, so I did. Good night."
Haruka goes inside, shuts the door, leaving Rin in absolute frozen confusion before his face heats up to ungodly temperatures.
He didn’t use the word ‘date.’
But Haruka still knew.
I just imagine Haru being forced to get an online dating account and he somehow gets matched up with Rin
Is this relevant to that reblog? BECAUSE!!!
Model and olympic swimmer Matsuoka Rin being a lonely guy who doesn’t know how to let people close and ends up just making an online dating account to appease his sister (who is on the edge of setting him up on a blind date with like half her friends)…
And then there’s Haruka who’s probably an art dealer or something he’s not at all passionate about, who has been watching the olympics since he was young and knows Rin’s entire career…
And they end up being matched up in the dating site. Haruka knows that face and honestly, he’s offended that anyone would use Rin’s face for a fake account. Like, how dare they ruin Rin’s reputation with that profile that says his favorite movie is “Howl’s Moving Castle” and that he cries at least 3 times a week? (Rin exaggeratedly made the profile truthful to ward off people who can’t accept him for who he is, shush). There’s a discord for Haruka with the image he has of Rin and this fake guy who is cool too, tbh, and pretty endearing, but still fake.
…so yeah, they talk and Haruka slowly ends up being interested in this guy too, and wondering what he exactly looks like and why he isn’t using his real picture and why he thinks it’s necessary to pretend to be someone else when clearly, he’s one of the most interesting people Haruka has ever met…
(and then they meet. Which is a hilarious moment because Haruka’s just staring at him and he whispers, “you’re real”. And Rin is so damn awkward about everything.)
I have a lot of feelings about Mayu and Mikorin so I decided to write.
Also for those who don’t know how he looks like, here’s a very helpful visual:
ugh mayu is so hot wtf
spoilers about the gsnk manga below, obviously.
It happened on one of those conversations. Hori was drawing the background of the chapter climax when he suddenly stopped and stared at the main pairing, eyes narrowing. “You know, I’ve been thinking about this for a long time but…” He placed his pen down, looking over at Sakura with a thoughtful expression. “Mamiko is based on Mikoshiba, right?”
Sakura smiled and nodded. “Yeah!” She answered. “Nozaki-kun told me. At first I didn’t really get it, but… well, it’s obvious, right?”
Hori nodded slowly. “Then… who is Suzuki based on?”
Puto Nanase.
ANVI ERES LA ÚNICA PERSONA QUE ME DARÍA SOUHARU ASÍ PORQUE SÍ Y DIOS MÍO.
Dios mío
esto es maravilloso.
BEYOND TWO SOULS has done so much harm to me and because I watched the entire game in like one day now I'm getting another fricking AU with sharkbait inspired in it, tsk tsk.
I would love to write it and mayyyyybe I will, I'm not entirely sure though because I suck at writing, but whatever.
INTRO: I never expected to fall for FINAL FANTASY VIII - SQUALL/RINOA as hard as I did. I expected to go for the Seifer/Squall pairing that dominated fandom, I expected to dislike Rinoa since so many others did, I expected to find the main love story terribly paced, at the very least. Instead, I found a character that instantly just waltzed her way right into my heart and I found the main love story to actually be very well told for my tastes! To this day, she’s one of my darlings and I fall more in love with these two every time I even so much as glance back at the game. The way she pulls him out of his shell, the way he looks at her sometimes, the way they work together and fall in love. Yeah, I’m super weak to all of that! [NOTE: This is an archive post, so warnings will not be as comprehensive as more current recs, but should still be serviceable. A little thing I wrote before episode 5. Contains some Nagisa!angst, RinHaru dorks, Sousuke best BFF of the world and, at some extend, mackerel!hate. Unbeta’d. You’ve been warned!
Haru sits in his living room, his phone still untouched in front of him, debating internally of what he is about to do. It’s not like he has a choice anyway. The situation is dramatic - catastrophic - urgent.
I’ve decided to drown myself with fanfiction to get over the ending. Btw, there’s like 2 HayaMitsu fics I’ve started long ago and never finished so I’ll post those up after Christmas. (I’ll be gone later and I’ll be wifi-less until after Christmas)
After the adrenaline wore off, Mitsuki decided there was something he needed to make clear to Hayato.
this has got to be the most fanfiction i’ve ever written for an otp of mine holy shit
hayato/mitsuki au sorta where it’s canon but the dorks are trying to hide it from the club members i’m such a looser
(also ignore the honorifics?? i don’t pay attention to that shit so it might not be canon idk use your imagination)
The club meeting went as usual. Mitsuki was an ass to Hayato, but showered Akira with compliments and hugs, everyone teased (not bullied; they had stopped doing that, and Hayato was glad) Hayato for his fake-glasses, so on and so forth. Everything was normal. At least, on the surface. Only Hayato and Mitsuki knew something was up. When their fingers brushed one another’s as they walked by and Mitsuki didn’t pounce on him or throw a wrench at him, and instead blushed heavily and continued walking. When they sat at the table, all laughing and discussing their days, while Hayato and Mitsuki held hands underneath it. Mitsuki’s hand was cold and sweaty, and he was so nervous. When Hayato grabbed it, so sure and steady, Mitsuki was ready to slap him on impulse. He looked up at him and saw his smiling face though, and decided against it, instead opting to look down, look down; look anywhere but at the club members; and try his hardest not to blush like a maniac. When they left for home, Hayato and Mitsuki trailed behind the group.
"Idiot. You’re being too obvious," Mitsuki hissed at him. Hayato shrugged, completely not bothered. He didn’t see the problem.
"What does it matter? They’re our friends. It’s not as if they’d care very much, you know."
"Yeah, but…" Mitsuki found himself a bit flustered. He was embarrassed over the whole stupid thing, but he didn’t want to tell Hayato that. He didn’t have to, apparently.
"I know you’re embarrassed," Hayato said with a smile. Mitsuki stopped in his tracks.
"You…You do?" He nodded, grinning.
"Yup. It’s alright, Mit-chan," he began. Mitsuki was taken aback. He had never called him that before. He wasn’t sure if he liked it. "I promise not to tell anyone until, or unless, you want to." He continued walking, and Mitsuki just stared. Why was Hayato so nice? Mitsuki certainly hadn’t done anything to deserve it.
"Does something seem different with Mit-chan and Hayato-kun today?" Takuma asked Yukiya and Akira as they headed home.
"Mm," Yukiya said, nodding. "I checked their behaviors on the Ypad. It would appear that they’re dating." Takuma was unfazed by the comment, but Akira stopped short.
"WHAT!?" he asked, aghast. Yukiya shrugged.
"What’s the big deal?" Takuma pressed.
"For Mitsuki to be dating…a fake-glasses wearer…that’s unacceptable."
"Don’t worry. I’m sure it won’t last," Yukiya promised. Akira huffed, and they continued to walk.
It did last. The two had started out pretty subtle, but either stopped caring or got lazy after a while, and eventually even the student council noticed their suspicious behavior. No one cared, but they found it a little silly that they tried to be so secretive about it.
"We have a meeting with the student council today to discuss budget!" Akira announced one day. "Let’s go!" They headed out.
"Hayato," Mitsuki called. He stopped and turned around as the club left, and they were the only two left in the room.
"What is it?"
"What if they find out?" Hayato rolled his eyes, and walked up to Mitsuki to give him a kiss. It wasn’t the first time, but Mitsuki still blushed more than he cared to admit.
"They won’t," Hayato assured with a smile, and Mitsuki followed him out.
They arrived to the student council room a little late, but Mitsuki stopped short outside the club room, as he heard the tail-end of their conversation.
"Oh and yes, we’ll have to be sure to tell Mitsuki and Hayato-kun congratulations!" William said with a smile.
"Eh…I’m not so sure they want anyone to know…" Takuma laughed. Just then, he noticed William place his hand over his stomach and kneel over slightly, as though he was in pain. He noticed Lorenzo, always by William’s side, pull medicine out of his pocket. "William?" Takuma inquired. "What is it?" He pointed a finger to behind Takuma, and he, Yukiya, and Akira all turned. Behind them stood Mitsuki and Hayato. Hayato’s face was one of absent-mindedness; either he had heard the conversation and didn’t care, or hadn’t heard it at all; while Mitsuki’s was beet-red and appeared to be frozen in place.
"You…You kNEW?" he stuttered. William clutched his stomach tighter. Takuma and Yukiya (along with the rest of the student council) just laughed, but Akira looked stern. "Soma-senpai, I’m sorry, I know that you thought…"
"Mitsuki! Why are you dating a person who wears fake-glasses!?" he demanded, finally being able to ask it.
Oh. That’s all he cares about. Mitsuki thought a little too highly of himself, and thought he’d be upset because he had liked Mitsuki, but it wasn’t that at all. Perhaps it was the situation, the extent to which Akira was upset, or maybe just the ridiculousness of it all, but Mitsuki couldn’t help but laugh with the rest of them. Hayato looked at him and smiled.
"I guess we don’t have to keep it a secret anymore, eh?" he teased. Mitsuki grinned back.
"I don’t think it was ever a secret to begin with."
For that anon that asked me for HayaMitsu domestic fluff, here is my attempt! I’M SORRY I DIDN’T POST IT SOONER!!! Here it is:
“Hayato… You …” Mitsuki growled at the other man in the room. Hayato smiled sheepishly and attempted to run away, only to be caught by the collar of his shirt. Mitsuki huffed angrily whilst glaring at the brunet.
“Honestly, you thought you could run away from doing the dishes?”Mitsuki hissed at him.
He shrugged in return, “I thought I could try!” Exasperated, Mitsuki let go of Hayato and lightly pushed him towards the sink.
“If you want to eat tonight, you’d better get started on these!” the light-haired boy finished with a knowing smirk.
A look of shock hit Hayato’s face, “EEEHHH?” Soon, he was scrubbing furiously at each dish with rapid-fire speed. Mitsuki chuckled to himself at the sight before walking back over to critique Hayato’s work.
He picked up a spoon and frowned while turning to face the other boy, “Hayato, this is still dirty! What are you do-“
A stream of water smacked Mitsuki in the face, which in turn, sprayed his glasses.
Once Hayato had turned off the water, he couldn’t help but laugh at Mitsuki’s appearance that was akin to Norio-San after a long bath.
Mitsuki growled, “Ha…ya…toooo…” his voice was dark and menacing, sending a chill down Hayato’s spine. And yet… It was a good chill.
The soaked boy charged towards Hayato, who easily knocked the boy off of his feet, catching him in a dip. Mitsuki flushed deeply, muttering something about Hayato and his stupid dance classes and his stupid face and other useless excuses .
Hayato simply laughed, before leaning down and meeting the lips of his dorky Mitsuki.
Hope y’all liked it! Now, onto the next request!
The mad drive to write has subsided quite a lot since yesterday so I won’t be able to write those wonderful prompt today. (I also blame the book I just finished which blew my mind.) But since I did say I’ll write more HayaMitsu, here have one. I still haven’t written the 3rd Hurt/Upset Hayato, right? Here, have some angst. Remember what I said? It’ll be deadly.
Hold my Hand; HayaMitsu
It felt like deja vu, but infinitely worse.
