Grogu in The Book of Boba Fett 1.07: In The Name of Honor (2022) Ahsoka Tano in Tales of the Jedi 1.01: Life and Death (2022)
Plus, she’s a huge, huge Star Wars fan.
Apparently y’all really liked the idea of Ezra training Grogu!
HEY GUYS!!! If Luke isn't going to train Grogu, does that mean Ezra Bridger will?!!!
Peli and Hondo have definitely met
Someone’s thrown out the theory that Luke is making Grogu choose as a test, and if he chooses Din, he passes the test—knowing that his heart is in the right place as far as caring for others rather than wielding power.
This has to be some kind of test. I really just can’t see Luke making a baby choose between his father and his training. I think Luke just wants to see for sure where Grogu’s heart is so he knows how to better help him.
Evidence to keep that flicker of hope alive:
- Ahsoka encouraging Din to leave perhaps being a test of her own to see if Din has Grogu’s true interests at heart
- Ahsoka telling Luke that Din and Grogu have a strong bond in a lighthearted way rather than a negative way
- Luke confessing to Ahsoka that he’s not sure if Grogu’s heart is in his training (hence why he would make this test to see where his heart really is)
- Ahsoka telling Luke he’s just like his own father, making Luke empathize with Grogu
- Luke teaching Grogu about balance in the Force to prepare him to balance his attachment to his father with his Jedi duties/powers

“I would trade the entire Book of Boba Fett for thirty seconds of Jacen Syndulla.”
— my little sister
there is a vile vibe surrounding the Star Wars fandom right now and it can only be cured by watching Rebels
also i was totally expecting for all our speculation to be wrong and that din was going to just waltz around perfectly fine and dandy but no. we were all right. like babe couldn’t go two minutes without mentioning grogu
all these posts abt luke teaching din how to use the darksaber I raise you- sabine teaching din how to use it like kanan taught her and teaching him there is more than one way to be a mandalorian
This!! This!!! I honestly don't expect to Din seeing Luke any time soon. Either because the visit to Grogu at school is off camera (which people need to be aware as a big possibility) or the visit is too short for any kind of training. I wanna see Din struggling with the darksaber a little more. Come on, people! He's finally, finally, having the meltdown he was too busy in season 2 to have. And the struggle with the darksaber is the best representation of it. Besides, who best could teach him about the weapon than someone who mastered it before, who knows it's history, it's significance, who like Din wasn't eager to carry the responsibilities that come with it? There's nobody better than Sabine!
Some other points to consider:
- I bet you anything that Sabine continued doing the drills all these years using Ezra's lightsaber, so she isn't rusty in lightsaberfighting
- Sabine trained with 2 Jedis initially
- We could add a third jedi if we imagine her sparring with Asoka during their search for Ezra.
- She's a Mandalorian, so obviously she'll understand things about Din that no Jedi would
- She also was cast out by her family, she and Din can relate in feeling ashamed and being a "disappointment" to the family. Which could help Din to work on his existential crisis rn
- She's another link to the Ahsoka show, so her cameo in season 3 isn't that crazy to imagine (she was already cast, so she very well could have shot anything for the season, i might add)
I could keep this going but I think you can see my point. So, yeah!! Sabine is the one who should train Din.
if you listen closely you can hear bo katan screaming halfway across the galaxy because din djarin put the darksaber into his hold luggage at the airport
SABINE WREN in STAR WARS: REBELS (2014-2018) | 3.15 Trials of the Darksaber DIN DJARIN in THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT (2021-) | 1.05 Return of the Mandalorian
Just. This. 💜
For some reason, Boba gives me "we don't talk about Bruno" levels of infamy. Like, I can see Din wondering why Mandalorians don't like boba, so he decides to ask one why and instead of a normal answer he gets a full-blown song and dance
Book of Boba Fett Theories, but they slowly get stupider less realistic:
- He teams up with the sand people in current time
- New republic shows up to check on things because they heard someone knew was in charge and they send Han
- Hondo Ohnaka attempts to take advantage a tatooine’s instability while at war to make profit
- Omega shows up because she heard Boba Fett and wants to meet the only other living clone
- Cal Kestis shows up because I say so (he’s the same age as Boba so he would definitely be alive) and they team up
- Din shows up, challenges Boba to a game of sabacc and throws the game on purpose, he then says “you have defeated me”, drops the dark saber on the table, and leaves. Boba now has too planets to run
book of boba fett: shows meiloorun fruit
me: ha, nice Star Wars Rebels reference
Everyone saw Peli Motto and her droids too right?
