Halt throwing troublesome nobles into their own moats.
My family and I used to listen to the audiobooks together and I remember that when it came to the part in Burning Bridge where Halt threw Sir Montague into the moat that everyone cheered/celebrated. It's always been one of my favorite memories from reading the series.
Besides that, I'm pretty sure Alyss, Pauline, and Arad were celebrating secretly too--especially after Alyss told them what Montague said.
The Baron gestured for Lady Pauline to explain.

"Let's go!" Will said. He drew his saxe and slashed the bindings that held the ladder on top of the cart's roof.
Horace threw it easily over his shoulder, his shield slung over his back, and together they ran for the castle wall...
…Horace had gone up the ladder at a run while Will kept up a constant stream of arrows, picking off any defender who showed himself over the ramparts.
