Jesper and Kaz are probably one of my favorite friend duos bc at first glance it feels like the bubbly extrovert just adopted the grumpy introvert and wore him down into friendship - and you can tell that’s how Jesper sees it too. A classic take.
However, the more you get to know Kaz, the more you realize that in actuality it was probably Kaz walking over and being like, “yeah, you see that guy? The piece of trash wearing the entire color spectrum? The dumbass who won’t shut the fuck up? Who flirts with a paper bag? Yeah, that one. The guy clearly trying to hide he’s Grisha like nobody else is going to notice? Uh-huh. The gambling disaster who reminds me of my dead brother and is gonna cause me some residual trauma to be around? Yeah, that bitch. The clown whose sharpshooting talents I can exploit in my gang? Yep. Exactly. Him. Yeah, so - I call dibs. And no, he is absolutely not allowed to know he’s my friend. I’m sending two guys to beat the shit out of him as we speak.”
And it’s even funnier to me because the essence of the friendship just strikes me as…

Jesper for the character ask game! (cause he's my boy and I love him your honor)
OH HO HO YESSSSS
- First impression: I loved this gun boy.
- Impression now: MUST BE PROTECTED AT ALL COSTS. Yes.
- Favorite moment: oh, he had so many good ones. Buuut I’ll go with that scene in Crooked Kingdom at the beginning when they’re all plotting to get back Inej just bc I love him in that scene. And all his epic moments. In the show though, it’s every moment with Milo.
- Idea for a story: I started writing one (don’t know if I’ll ever finish it) where he’s being all High and Mighty to Kaz and just acting like he rules the world it’s great.
- Unpopular opinion: Hm. I’m not quite sure.
- Favorite relationship: MILO THE GOAT.
- Favorite headcanon: uhhuh. Hm. Jesper and Inej go on platonic waffle dates

You're so right it is!! Here's my take on it:
Spotting Inej across the room, Kaz moved to her side, handing her the mug of hot cocoa he’d gone to the kitchen to get her. She smiled her thanks, taking a sip from it. “Cinnamon-- you know me well.”
Kaz returned her smile with a slight one of his own, but before he could speak, there was a loud, theatrical gasp. Turning, Kaz spotted Jesper, staring directly above he and Inej's heads.
Instinctively, Kaz looked up-- and spotted a small plant with white berries hanging from a silky red ribbon above them. Oh, fantastic.
A grin spreading across his face, Jesper said, “Well, well, well. Look who got caught under the mistletoe.”
Kaz could feel the other's eyes on him, and he didn't need to look at Inej to sense her discomfort. She wasn't the only one.
Hefting his cane, Kaz caught it by the end and swung it nearly. The crow's beak slashed through the bouquet above him, scattering greenery everywhere.
Meeting Jesper's stunned gaze as he lowered his cane again, Kaz asked calmly, “What mistletoe?”

3- characters you would marry in an instant? Um. Kanan. And if not Kanan, probably Jesper Fahey or Matthias Helvar from Six of Crows, but both of them are very taken.
8- do you prefer happy, bittersweet or sad endings? I don't mind bittersweet, but I'm always gonna be a happy endings kinda girl. Although you would not know that if you read one of my current WIPs lol
