@carry-the-sky thanks for the request!! Sorry it's a little later in the month, but it fit perfectly for today's Kastle Christmas prompt!
“You’re pretty good at this.”
Glancing up from the recipe he was studying, Frank met Karen’s gaze. She was leaning against the counter, munching on one of the gingersnaps they’d baked earlier in the day as she watched him work, looking at ease in a loose cozy sweater and sweatpants.
(and just as beautiful as she looked all dressed up, and Frank considered telling her that just to see her blush.)
“Oh, yeah?” he said, lifting an eyebrow. “You say that like you’re surprised. You know I can cook.”
“Oh, I do,” Karen assured him.”But we’ve never baked together before, and it’s…a little surreal, watching Frank Castle make Christmas cookies in my kitchen.”
“Good surreal?” Frank asked, a small smile tugging at the corner of his mouth.
A matching smile grew on her face. “Definitely. You look good in the kitchen.”
“That so?” Pushing off the counter, Frank closed the gap between the two of them, his smile widened when Karen moved to meet him. Slipping an arm around her waist, he said, “You look beautiful anywhere.”
She blushed, red crossing her cheeks, and Frank smiled to himself before leaning in to kiss her.
