My Kanera Week fics from last year are almost all canon compliant (the first one is a second chapter of a modern au, so feel free to skip it. Also chapter three has spoilers for S3, so depending on what you know you miiiiiight want to skip that one, too), and A Smile That Lights Up The Galaxy is straight fluff. I'm also gonna shamelessly plug my Tangled Kanera au--I wrote it years ago, so it's not my best work in some areas, but I'm still really proud of the universe I created there

"Four Questions" is short but sweet, set during Return of the Jedi (plus it's a Kanan lives au)

"Morning Light" is one of my favorite Kanan lives AUs of ALL TIME I highly recommend it. Truly it lives rent free, I go back and reread it all the time

"Moonbeam: A Masterpiece" is by one of my friends and I love it so so much. Very fun and lighthearted and just SWEET

"& are we there yet?" is largely Ezra and Kanan but THE FEELS IT MAKES ME EMOTIONAL AND I LOVE IT it's a bit more intense but so so worth it

I can't ever NOT recommend "Blackbird", with the caveat that it's darker and super intense, but also masterfully written!

And last but not least, a shameless self plug of my canon divergent Kanera au where Kanan doesn't join up with Hera in A New Dawn. There are. A lot of fics in this au lol but here's the first one!

Ooooh dang now I kinda want to rewatch those movies! So valid, they're really great characters!

Hmm good question. Admittedly most of my knowledge of sequels fan fic is limited to stuff that crosses over with Star Wars: Rebels (and the odd bit of Poe x Rey fan fic, cause I ship them a bit) but here's what I do know of:

The Scavenger & The Wolf: Jacen Syndulla meets Rey on Jakku briefly

Poe Dameron's Guide to Rey: Just a couple short stories about Rey and Poe interacting, very sweet!!

And then, if you don't mind some blatant self promotion, I wrote a fic about the main trio interacting with Kanan that I posted here! I also have some Jacen Syndulla fan fics where Poe and the others show up briefly, and I know of some decent Poe x Rey fics if you're interested in that kind of thing! Hope this is semi helpful, sorry I couldn't find more!

Well hey you, thanks for this!! I never like self-promoting anything of mine, but I do carry a certain sense of accomplishment and love for my fics, and I just want people to read and enjoy them :)

So here we go!

1. Until the Night is Over

(Fandom: Agents of SHIELD)

This one is so near and dear to my heart. It was inspired by the song When the Night is Over by Lord Huron, and it’s the first and only multi-chapter fic I’ve ever completed (I’ve always been more of a one-shot gal myself). I call it a “modern day Dousy AU,” with a healthy amount of espionage, angst, mystery, and fluff. Written at the height of the Dousy craze around here, and I was so honored by all the loyal readers and even some late night idea sessions with the mutuals.

Anyway, it’s a classic and has held the number one favorite spot for a long time :)

2. the medic

(Fandom: Star Wars: The Clone Wars)

I feel like this was my first real foray off my beaten path of linear, conversational fic, if you will. It’s more poetry than anything else and it focuses on Kix, a character we don’t see much of but has a huge and very unique role in TCW. I wanted to explore the ins and outs of being a medic in the GAR, and the parallels that led to his ultimate fate. I’ve even gotten some amazing feedback from relatives of real life army medics, who say it rings true and reminds them of their veteran relatives stories, which is just a huge honor and makes me tear up a little :’)

3. but you dream of some epiphany

(Fandom: Star Wars: The Clone Wars)

Again, this one is less “traditional” and more poetic. It’s just a short take on the couple of weeks immediately following Order 66, and how Ahsoka and Rex try to find their way in this new, very hostile galaxy. Lots of emotions, PTSD, and callbacks and parallels. It’s also partly me rejecting the canon that says the two of them split up almost immediately after escaping the purge, and deciding that it’s much more likely they would stick together, at least for a little while.

4. And I Dealt My Heart

(Fandom: Agents of SHIELD)

For someone who’s never been a fan of AUs, I sure do write a lot of them for Dousy :)

This one was my knee jerk reaction to some overwhelming emotions I was feeling following a dance I went to with my family. Funny what a whirlwind of a night can make you feel in the span of 2-3 hours. I love love love country music and the culture surrounding it, and I thought what better way to put a new spin on the Blue Shirt™️ than a good old fashioned square dance? Plus, it’s such a natural foil for Daisy that it really worked, at least in my opinion. And who doesn’t love a little extra sprinkle of Philinda being pseudo parents? :)

5. can’t tell me there’s no point in trying

(Fandom: Star Wars)

This one is still in progress, so we’ll see where I land on it, but so far I have SO enjoyed the process. It was originally just a one-shot, aka me scratching the itch I have to see Ahsoka Tano and Cal Kestis interact on screen, and touching on the emotions surrounding Order 66 and the clones’ betrayal and how Cal would react to a de-chipped Rex. Now it’s gone much further to my own delight, and I get to explore things like Cody and the Bad Batch and even Cal’s biological family. I really love it so far and I’m excited about where it’s headed :)

A couple honorable mentions because I’m indecisive:

The One With the Second Chance - (Friends; Joey/Rachel)

Found this one in the depths of my inbox and I am ABSOLUTELY on board with playing this again! So here we go:

Really, the Steve Miller Au in general is a favorite. But if I had to choose just one... "Tips For Your Hot Date: Don't Take Her To A Waffle House" is really quintessential Steve Miller Au. So let's go with that one!
"Disproving The Love At First Sight Theory" was one I was kinda nervous about at first, because Trill is an OC and Jacen's personality is so made up he might as well be one. But a lot of people seemed to really enjoy it!! And I had a lot of fun. Especially with the Wingfeather Saga references
"Catch", one of my only fics for The Rookie, is honestly pretty great. Feels pretty in character, and while I never thought I'd write something like it, I'm very glad I did!
I lied. I have to choose another Steve Miller Au fic, and while it was ALMOST the one where Hera loses her memory, I had to go with "Kanan's Adoption Thing Supersedes Canon. That Is All" aka the fic where Kanan adopts Jyn. Thanks to Jedi Survivor it's probably gonna need a rewrite, but I still ADORE it
And last but not least, I really can't skip "This Is The Story Of How I Died", one of my all time favorites. Because Tangled is my beloved. But honestly I love ALL my fics

Admittedly, like most of us, I love all my stories, so this isn't as easy as it seems. I apparently operate under the impression that I can hurt the feelings of my fics so I will tread lightly. ;D

FIDELITY--I have had a lovely time creating the Empire Reimagined universe. I have another mapped out as we speak, waiting for summer so I can properly tackle it. But this courtroom drama fic is dear to my heart. It focuses very heavily on two sets of relationships---Anakin and his two senior officers and Luke and Leia as they strive to save those three. I loved delving deeply into loyalty and the nature of friendship, family and found family. Leia really comes into her own in this fic as well. It was great to brush off my legal brain for the court scenes and I had a fantastic time picturing Luke and Leia facing down several hundred storm troopers on their own too.

A STAR TO STEER BY---

My dear Piett decided he loved tall ships and who was I to deny him a story? So I placed all my favorite Star Wars characters into the Napoleonic period and had a great time letting them fight numerous battles ending with Trafalgar. [Essentially] This was the first fic I illustrated as well and it was delightful to play with period costume for all of our people. Let's face it---the British naval uniform of the period was pretty sharp. And our guys make it look good. I worked really hard to study naval practice and terms from the time. I'm not an expert, but I like a certain level of realism.

SHOWDOWN AT ALLIANCE RANCH---

I know this one was very off the reservation for most people. Star Wars as a Western? Really?

Yep. And I was ok with the niche appeal and small readership. It was such FUN to write! It was one of those stories that really almost wrote itself with all the appropriate tropes. Piett as the good hearted Sherrif. Veers as his faithful friend the Marshall. Leia the ranchowner with a tragic past. The vigilante Vader with his mysterious origins. Evil land baron Palpatine....yeah, I had a blast. The Lady is a horse in this one as is Artoo and the Falcon. No they're just horses, but I tried to get a bit of their personalities in there.

MIRJAHAAL--

A rather long story that began largely because I liked the idea of Piett adopting my OC Matthew Scraps from a young age and them having each other as we went into the original trilogy events [with some tinkering by me of course] It also features Luke and Leia being raised together on Alderaan knowing that their Father is Anakin Skywalker, but having to find out that he is Vader. Zevulon Veers gets to live as well and we follow them all growing up in the Rebellion. I loved the drama and action I got to play with in this story, but most of all I confess to LOVING Piett being a dad with Matt.

REBELLIONS ARE BUILT ON HOPE---

On the Dad theme....

This story was borne of a one shot I did where numerous possible realities showed up in Leia's visions. One of these was her being raised by Piett after the Organas were killed when she was eight. That muse didn't leave me alone and I eventually wrote this full length story. I loved elements like Veers and Piett meeting on the battlefield of Hoth, Vader's choices, and of course Leia being the adopted daughter of Firmus and their sweet relationship.

I also enjoyed adding Ahsoka and Rex more fully into my work for the first time in this story and placing all these characters together for this adventure made for a blast to write.

Rebellions Are Built On Hope is literally the fic that got me to read your series, so I DEFINITELY agree on that front!!! Plus Mirjahaal is excellent because Piett adopting Matt. Made me super emotional
