Some sketches of my new love, the latest Puss In Boots film. The female wolf is an OC and Perrito thinks she’s his guardian angel (she is not 🫢).
Also big bad wolf because his character design (and voice acting) is amazing.

Recently I was feeling a bit crummy, thinking I hadn’t progressed much in the past few years. Some might know I went to school for conceptual art, and pretty much knew only how to use flat, unmixed color and relied heavily on my sense of line work (see far left piece). Besides taking some foundational courses throughout school, I didn’t have much to fall back on and when I found out I loved illustration, I had to begin teaching myself...everything. It was infuriating. Still is sometimes.
That Thorin/Tauriel piece was my first attempt at illustration and digital art. I remember throwing the stylus pen at the table because I just could not understand how the hell people did this. But after discussing it over with the cat, I jumped back in and started studying and practicing whenever I could.
So back to feeling crummy. I took a walk down memory lane and went back to my Hobbit fan art, finding a 2015 Bagginshield piece I really enjoyed making. I see it’s flaws now, but looking back at where I started in 2013 to today really helped put things in perspective. Sometimes I feel so stuck in my head and nothing wants to translate the way I want it to on paper....But things take time. I hope all artists give themselves a break. Make art when you can and do it because you want to, don’t stress yourself out.
Much love,

playing with character design for Sen’aras while trying to entertain a milk elf.
Decided to mess with this again. this is the first time I’ve touched my wacom tablet in......six months? It feels good to be back, though. We’ll see where this comic goes. @_@
2016 was the year of the elf, particularly DAI elves! And sketches. Sketching has always been the most therapeutic thing for me-I get that instant gratification of a slowed pulse and a sound mind while doodling. But I really need to dig in and paint this new year. Hoping I will be a little more patient with myself and learn to see painting as a kind of therapy as well.
Thanks for all the support! You guys are awesome! <3

The Smith, he labors day and night, to put the world of men to right. With hammer, plow, and fire bright, he builds for little children.
This is very cool
A celebration of Bilbo and Frodo’s birthdays, and the first week of Autumn.
Some sketches I did a while back. It’s really been very difficult sitting back and not having the energy to create when all your mind keeps yelling at you is “art art art”! I’m learning patience though and am able to sit back and take in all the art around me. I hope everyone is enjoying their creative days.
Another Blade Runner piece from a while ago.
I did this piece about two years ago but never posted it. Blade Runner is one of my favorite films; Vangelis’ score along with beautiful imagery and cinematography has made it a classic. I highly recommend watching it.
Commission piece. Based off of an upcoming scene for Chapter 89 from Betz’ fanfic, And They Didn’t Live Happily Ever After. Check it out!
