Some loose character design sketches! Image descriptions in alt. text.
A sketch based on memory and photo reference of my visit to FTM Bar 2s Cabin in Tokyo. I wanted to go out of my way to visit different LGBTQIA+ bars while I was out traveling, and I found it super touching and affirming. The bartenders and patrons were always so nice to meet. Apologies for the wonky scale! The bartenders are larger than life in my mind haha.
Small sketches drawn between Osaka and Koyasan.
I made a trip to Japan recently! Here are some of my travel sketches. Image descriptions in alt text.

Ink drawings from Taiwan (Mogu Kabi cafe and Huashan 1914 Creative Park).
Travel sketches from my trip to Asia this winter! I got to travel Taiwan, Thailand and Singapore, although sadly I only really had time to draw in Singapore. Drawings here depict Chihkan Tower in Tainan, Haw Par Villa, homes and playgrounds in Tanjong Pagar, Gardens by the Bay and the Asian Civilizations Museum in Singapore.

A collection of marker sketches from the past week, used to test some different ink and paper. I bought a new pack of 24(!!!) Ikea markers which comes with less fluorescent colors. I also tested some old Prismacolors out but I think alcohol based smell is too strong and bleeds too much for my taste. Lastly, I tried the Ikea markers on a Muji sketchbook but I think the paper was a bit too thin to handle it : (

Cafe sketch! I drew too many fingers on this one lol.
[ID: Two middle-aged Korean women drawn seated at a cafe booth, one facing towards and one faced away from the viewer. The former has black shoulder length hair, and wears a black and white floral shirt. She raises her right hand in a pointing gesture, and holds a coffee cup in her left hand. The latter has wavy brown hair and a pink shirt. Her arms are folded in front of her. A green potted plant is drawn on the left of the page, and empty seats and tables embellish the bottom of the page. Drawn in pen and marker. End ID]
Travel sketches from the past few months. Image descriptions under cut (maybe? It seems to work sometimes and not others, forgive me).
Visited the Kuruvungna Village Springs recently! Really beautiful site. [ID: Two image photo set of drawings set at the Kuruvungna Village Springs.
