Doctor Who - The Eaters of Light
I still do not understand why people complained about “Kerblam!”, saying that nothing was changed in the end, that machines still rule the galaxy. What is of course true but two things about that.
1. the doctor is powerful but not that powerful that she can save a whole galaxy from their self invernted technology. I know epsiode like planet of the ood wants us to believe different things but i am 100% sure some of his actions ended in cvili wars when he left. Doctor who 1x12 is really good example for that
2. Do we all not remeber “smile”?! 13 leaving a universe to learn how to control their technology (and them probably failing) is one thing. 12 leaving a new conlony of humans with killer robotos who will kill you if you do not smile is a completly different one

Still need to think about that fact that IF Missy would have been a man again, 12 would not have been allowed to kiss her on screen and that makes me really salty. And i really wonder if, in that case, Moffat would have even wrote a kissing scene between these two
I get this. It feels as if the only way they could possibly allude to a romantic doctor x master relationship (in any form) was to allow them to kiss as a straight presenting couple. Like it’s sad but I believe that is the case with a popular family show like that. Bill was a big step and her introduction to the show made me so happy, but even that didn’t last more than a season, which is annoying. There is just a serious lack of rep on doctor who.
But what frustrates me so much about this (besides from the whole heteronormativity) is that 9 was allowed to kiss Jack. But if it comes to a long established character kissing between these two is only allowed when both of them are from a different gender. No matter if 12 just told Bill that they were both men when the doctor fall in love with the master. DW isn’t doing bad when it comes to LGBTQ side characters (well, expect of s11) and also the doctor allways showed some queer tendency but the DW writer team really needs to treat DW so softly when it comes to LGBTQ topics. The doctor is now a woman who is either pan or attracted to women, so let her kiss women, god damn it!
Also Doctor who season 10 was imo the first doctor who season worth watching after DW season 6. But also around the same time Sherlock season 4 aired. Like i said: Mixed feelings
Wasn't it highly unrealstic that 12 suddently had mulitple of those iconic orange space suits in season 10? Or is the doctor such a big fan of those that he made some more of them for his friends? Because actually he should have only one. This one he stole on the impossible planet when he faced Satan
