I finally realized what i missed in season 11. I am huge fan of the epsiode “42″ in season 3, also written by Chibnall i might add. And there are two scenes that get me everytime. Scenes i would have loved to see in s11 and hope we will see in s12.

People who got infected by the sun were really dangerous anyway. But when HIM got infected? It made him, who was allready the most powerful species on the station, into something even more powerful and deadly. Maybe the rage wasn’t his own but we all know what the sun could have had achieved with his body if it wasn’t stopped by Martha. And this is the threat i want for at least one epsiode. The hero turning into the villain BUT (and here comes point 2)

He should be aware of what happens to him. Let him shatter. Let him be scared, like really REALLY scared. let him beg for help. Turn the hero into the one who needs to be saved. take him in a postion where even his cleverness can not save him anymore. Give me all the angst.

This would have been a way to make 13 into dark!13 with out discussing the darkness that left the war in her. Because i am cool with a joyful doctor. But that doesn’t mean you can not shatter her from time to time

Reached this point of my rewatch. This will be for ever one of my favorite epsiode (maybe toped from “The unicorn and the wasp”) If i could i would tattoo myself every moment of that epsiode on my the skin. It is so great. Starting from, who had more number 1 hits, Elvis or the Beatles, to Martha’s romantic chemistry with this guy, her asking him if he has a girl or boyfriend. The doctor being vulnerable and scared to death (gosh i love to see characters shatter), to the whole happy prims thing. 10/10 Mister Chibnall

Chibnall and family business

I just watched “Dinosaurs ona space ship” and i noticed something. 

But let me start from the beginning. 

What i allways missed and still miss in Moffats episodes are the family based epsiodes. The family memebers of the companions were allways a really important part of the story when RTD filmed the show. Jackie Tyler got a whole episode centered around her. The whole Saxon storyline just worked because Marthas mother got manipulated by the Master. And Wolfie became a companion himself in the end.

And when the companions were scared or if the thought they would die or if the needed to know which artist had more number 1 hits (Elvis or the beatles) they phoned their mothers.

And halfway through the season the companions came allways back home for double epsiode.

I just started with season 7 and till now Moffat never did something like that. Even when Amy got her family back she runs away from them a day later. 

Rorys family is never mentioned. The first one who introduced Rorys father to the viewers was.... Chibnall!

Also all the other epsiodes he wrote included most of the time the family of the comanions. Best example: 42

And i really hope he will do that again in his era!
