I know that but IMAGINE the reactions. Why are people pissed that fans are sad that Rege leaves? It is a totally understandable reaction and reading everywhere: „stop crying. His story is over and his story was the most boring one anyway.“ doesn’t help at all.

Yeah I get that, but I think the frustration is more about people dropping the show just because of an actor quitting. Especially when s02 is the adaptation of one of the strongest books in the series that will feature a woman of South Asian heritage as the female lead.

I totally get your points and I also would be frustrated. But this show is watched by 80 million people on the whole planet. Everyone watches this show for something different. Most of them do not know the book, know that Anthony will be the focus, know That an Indian actress will be the main focus... or do not care at all for it. Which is frustrating I know. But they are also frustrated. They saw the trailer and went: „Simon, hot!“ and watched it. Now he is gone and they a) do not know that Anthony will follow or b) they do not like him because his role in season 1 was still under-developed.

So they are two sides if the coin and both are frustrated. So I think we should give each other time.
