CONFESSION:
Honestly I am tired of elves and how I’m constantly told that elves are the only relevant race of Dragon Age. The last time I looked the game was not called Elf Age. I really am praying there is content on the Kal-Sharok Dwarves in the next game. I want to see Tal-Vashoth who are NOT these blood thirsty monsters they are made out to be. How about a nice village where they DO NOT follow the Qun and just want to LIVE THEIR LIFE?? I even WANT a human COMMONER origin. If there is a city elf origin great. I will even play it but right now I am just tired.
Mod Note:
Hey Confessor. No worries. Your Confession is fine. And I did check when doing this confession. You spelled Kal-Sharok Correct!! :-)
I saw this post and I just had to: http://www.deviantart.com/users/outgoing?http://smaugchiefestofcalamities.tumblr.com/post/82684548838/feeling-sad-here-is-a-picture-of-peter-dinklage

I see your Cute Dragon Age Dads Letting Daughters Braid Their Hair headcanons, and I raise you Cute Dragon Age Dads Teaching Their Daughters to Be Badasses headcanons:
- Alistair taking her to important meetings, breaking down the talking points for her, asking for her opinion. Helping her to be fair minded in a heavily prejudiced world. Showing her it’s ok to make mistakes, that even the End of the World might not be the end of the world.
- Zevran teaching her how to pick locks, how to disappear, how to stay in control of every interaction, but also how to know when to let go. Making sure she knows that she is her own person, that she doesn’t owe anyone anything, but also how to know when she’s found a just cause, a worthy ally, a friend.
- Fenris taking her on little quests, only the safe ones at first, but tougher ones as she learns and ages. Teaching her to observe power dynamics, how to tell when an innocent is overpowered and needs help. The importance of being brave, for her own sake and others.
- Anders with a mage child, determined that she will learn to use and control her power without the Circle. Guiding her through the dangers of the Fade, making sure she never feels the guilt of accidental destruction.
- Sebastian bringing her in to see petitioners and diplomats. Showing her how to lead by example, the importance of listening, courtesy, compassion. Showing her that sometimes kindness is the fastest way to reach a person. Giving her a little bow so she can practice like daddy, looking forward to the day he can pass his grandfather’s bow on to her.
- Cullen giving her a wooden sword and shield when she asks to train like daddy and taking her out for lessons every morning. Taking her into the war room to teach her strategy, asking her for more and more input as she learns. Teaching her that it’s ok to question, that quitting isn’t the same as failing, that it’s ok to try a new path.
- Blackwall making sure she knows the importance of standing up for others, of standing up for herself. Teaching her the value of saying “no” when something feels wrong. Building her up so she will feel confident enough to do it when the time comes.
- Iron Bull letting her run wild at first, a fierce, grubby warrior with a pointy stick. As she grows, showing her how to control her strength for greater impact, how to spot weaknesses, how to honor a worthy foe. The value of a challenge.
- Solas meeting her in her dreams. Introducing her to his friends there, raising her with a new perspective on the world, one without the prejudices of those who fear the Fade. Teaching her to approach both spirits and people as individuals, to give them the benefit of trying to understand them as they are.
- Dorian showing her the importance of trust, loyalty, friendship. Letting her flip through “safe” books when she’s little, but showing her tougher, more important works as she grows. Asking for her help when he’s researching, proving to her that her presence, her thoughts, her perspectives are important.
LI Dragon Age dads sleeping with their kid(s)
Alistair
Alistair always sleeps with both arms around his child because even in his sleep, Alistair can’t fully believe that he and his beloved warden actually managed to have such a healthy, beautiful child together. He kiss the child’s head before falling asleep and again after waking up. To Alistair, his child is far more precious than any throne could ever be.
Zevran
Zevran sings in his sleep when his child is close. Old Antivan lullabies that are little more than whispered memories from his own childhood. He holds them to his chest, savoring the warmth and marveling at the strength of life in such a tiny body. Zevran is rarely more at ease than he is with his child.
Fenris
Fenris doesn’t sleep. He watches his children vigilantly, a part of him constantly afraid that they will be hurt or need their nightmares chased away. He brushes the hair from their faces, reading them stories, and murmuring prayers in every language that he knows. Whatever happens, he will keep them safe.
Anders
Anders curls himself around his child, arms and legs becoming a barrier to the outside world as he holds his child close. He always checks to ensure his child is comfortable and close and safe before closing his eyes. Even then, his slumber is shallow and alert. No one will ever take his child away from him.
Sebastian
Sebastian never expected to have a child of his own but after becoming Prince of Starkhaven, he knew he needed an heir. Seeing his little one as a gift from the Maker, Sebastian treats his child with a kind of reverence, sleeping at his child’s side with a gentle hand on the child’s belly so Sebastian can feel the small chest rising and falling with every breath.
Cullen
Cullen sleeps flat on his back with his children splayed across his stomach using him as a giant pillow. He mumbles their names as he sleeps, his hands constantly searching them out to ensure they’re still there. He wakes them up with kisses and tickles, enjoying their high-pitched squeals of laughter. The nightmares come less often when his children are near.
Iron Bull
Bull is quiet when he sleeps: his calm a sharp contrast to the wrestling and rough-housing he usually enjoys with his children. He keeps his arms loose around them, wanting them close but also wanting to give them freedom to move as they please. He smiles at every snore. It’s moments like these that make him glad to be Tal-Vashoth.
Dorian
Dorian always makes sure that his adopted child is tucked in close to his chest or set in the crook of his neck when Dorian sleeps. He wants them to feel his heartbeat, to feel the love that he can’t yet convey to them in words. They will know nothing but love from him.
Blackwall
Blackwall tries to sleep but never quite manages it. He always has to keep an eye on his sleeping child, still unable to believe that he has one. He tucks blankets around the small body and kisses all along the soft curls on their head. He will make sure they lead a better life than he ever could.
Solas
Solas doesn’t so much sleep as doze. Sleeping pulls him into the Fade and he prefers to feel the heartbeat and listen to the soft, steady breathing of his child. He traces the outline of his child’s ear, murmuring in ancient elven about things lost past. In these small intimate moments, with no one else around to hear, he can finally speak the truth.
CONFESSION:
I wish mages were not always forced to use staffs/staves. I really want to play a mage that only requires the use of their hands to do spells in the next game
Yes
So spocky scurry!!

Little first moments between the Inquisitor and their love interest that it makes my heart happy to think about:
- The first time Cassandra finds he’s left something for her, a rose lying across her favourite book or a little message scrawled on a piece of parchment cut into the shape of a heart, and realises that the flowers and the candles and the moonlit glade weren’t a one-time thing, this is going to be forever. The first time she picks up the gift and holds it close, knowing it’s not just a gift but a promise that he’s always going to make her feel like one of those women from her books, always going to see the woman inside the armour.
- The first time Blackwall wakes up beside her after she learns the truth, and remembers that he’s not hiding anything from her anymore, she knows exactly who he is and what he’s done and she’s still right here in his arms. The first time he looks at her lying there, and feels tears of a kind he’s not familiar with sting his eyes, tears charged by joy, and at last there’s no burning pang of guilt and grief clawing at his insides - because she knows, and she still chose him, and he can just look at her and be happy.
- The first time Bull slips off his eyepatch, feeling… not awkward, exactly, just very aware that this is the first time his kadan has seen him without it, that so, so few people have ever seen his face just as it is. The first time his lover smiles at him and reaches up and takes his face into their hands, traces the jagged lines of his scars with gentle fingers and presses their lips against them, and murmurs to him that he’s beautiful (and hot, of course).
- The first time Dorian kisses the Inquisitor in a street or in the throne room or in the courtyard, where everyone can see, and his smug grin has a touch of wonder behind it because yes, they can do this, they can show what they feel in front of the entire world and no one is going to come up to them and wrench them apart. The first time he glances at the people who’ve seen them and realises that some of them are even smiling to see them together, that the people around them want them to be happy.
- The first time Solas looks at her and realises with a jolt that he’s stopped seeing the vallaslin, that the silent voice inside him has stopped screaming about the wrongness of it every time he sees her, that while he still wishes it were gone, her face has become the most important thing. The first time that the way she smiles and the warmth in her eyes seem to outshine the marks of her slavery and ignorance, and he aches to think of all she doesn’t know, but she is so beautiful, so beautiful.
- The first time Sera hears the Inquisitor call something shite or frigging and stands frozen for a moment, her grin too wide for her face, because her girlfriend’s speaking like her, those are her words coming from the mouth of the woman she loves. The first time she realises that she’s become a part of the Inquisitor, part of the way she speaks and thinks and lives, and feels joy sweep through her because the Inquisitor is part of her, too, always will be.
- The first time Cullen goes through a whole day with no feverish longing, no shaking, no sick feeling in his stomach, and he knows the battle isn’t over and that all the pain could come back tomorrow, but right now he can look at the Inquisitor and think, this is what the rest of our life could be like. The first time he can really picture long nights and longer mornings beside her with no nightmares and restless sleep, years ahead of listening to her laugh, and he almost cries from the terrifying beauty of it.
- The first time Josephine pens a letter to her family and then stops and stares at what she’s written, because she’s told them all about the Inquisitor and how she hopes to introduce them some day, and just like that it seems so official, it’s set down in ink on parchment that she wants the Inquisitor to be part of her future. The first time she gazes at the letter in awe, because it suddenly seems to be the most precious thing in the world.
Awwww give me more of this ❤️❤️
