Finally back with new art! Between commission work & some renovation stuff it took me an unfortunate amount of time to finish this piece. But Romulus had me so hyped I absolutely had to dive into creating some Xenomorph art - and it made me realize I should do monster art more often! I think? The WIP shots for this are a little more chaotic than usually - I went back and forth between 3 different files for this; One to paint Karlach herself, one to paint the background and integrate Karlach into, working in shadows and lighting to make it look and feel more cohesive, and the third one to add a little bit of blur for an additional depth of field effect, as well as some extra lighting. Doing all of that in one file would have definitely lead to poor pc performance & corrupted files 🤣 And so while in order, the wip video isn't as linear as it usually is. But hey, we love a little chaos sometimes, right? Anyhow - I really do hope you enjoy her! 🥰 Have a lovely weekend everyone ❤️✨

Wanted to create a more detailed artwork of her than the previous Trio piece I'd done - she has so many beautiful skin details that it was just such a treat getting to paint all the pores & blood splatter! Returning to drawing Alci after taking a break for a little always feels so special. At this point, with all artworks considered, I've easily spent over 1000 hours on painting her. Ironically, I've still not created the one artwork that makes me feel like it does her enough justice - the ONE, y'know? It truly is one of the things that make me love and appreciate her even more; 3 years later she is still pushing me to become a better artist & the improvements I've made in my realism art style these past years were all kickstarted by her. There's a bit of her in everything I create now; it's the constant reminder that pouring effort, love & passion into the things we create and what we receive for it in return is worth it all & then some. Evolving in our artistic journey, creating art people enjoy so much it receives its own little space in their homes, finding new parts of self, a community of lovely people you get to share a home with, so much to be thankful for; I am infinitely grateful to have met some of the most wonderful people through her; Darlings I treasure so so deeply. Always always always pour your heart into the things you love & never stop creating - it's the very reason we were blessed with this absolute darling in the first place. It makes life so much more beautiful. That said, I hope you enjoy her ❤️ There will most definitely be many more paintings to follow still haha.

The amount of details that needed to be precisely drawn in order not to make anything look muddy turned this into one heck of a challenge, but goodness does it feel rewarding to have finished it! I hope you enjoy it! Have a wonderful weekend everyone! 💖
