Flames Of The Past
It happened during training. The two of you were just sparring, and suddenly, one of Bakugo’s explosions reminded you of that night. The night your parents died. The night you were trapped in your burning home. It was a year or two ago, but you still had memories of it.
One second you were dodging Bakugo’s explosions, and the next one of them came too close to your face. It was the glow of the explosion that reminded you of the flames--the flames that had been dangerously close to licking at your skin and singing your body. Bakugo jumped away from you fast, skidding on the ground away from you.
“Shit! Y/N, I--” He paused, seeing your eyes wide and face full of fear. You were stood still, shaking. He stiffened. “Y/N...” You didn’t respond to him, standing still. He moved, walking over to you. “Y/N? Oi! Dumbass!” He reached out to put his hand on your shoulder.
“NO!”You screeched, your hands turning, palms out. You hit him with an air blast in the stomach, throwing him away from you. He flew far enough to crash against the building. You put your hands up to your head, screaming and crying out, dropping to your knees. Your breathing hitched, your entire body shaking as you panicked. Fire. That’s all you could see as you stared forward. Flames racing towards you, burning the ground. You stopped breathing completely as they danced up your skin.
People were around you.
Calling your name.
Trying to bring you to back to reality.
People called Bakugo’s name, rushing to see if he was okay.
It was all happening so fast, the sounds and the flames and--
Finally, darkness came, welcoming you with open arms and embracing you. Cooling your skin that the fire had warmed, and soothing you panicking heart.
