To answer this, it’s because the skin on the palms of your hands is thicker due to more active use and wear and tear than the rest of our bodies. As such, it takes more pressure to get a satisfying “itch”. It’s difficult to achieve that with just our fingers, so it’s easiest to substitute the biting force of the jaw. The same is doubly true for the soles of the foot, which is why it’s near impossible to scratch an itch on the bottom of your foot.
On the plus side, thicker skin also means less itching in general, since irritants have a tougher time getting in in the first place.

fandom tumblr was another casualty of streaming services. we used to be on here posting about the episodes that were coming out weekly and posting gifs and writing insane shit about the tv shows we liked. now a new season of a show will drop and we’ll talk about it for a week. two weeks tops. and then that show will leave collectively conscious for 1+ year till the next season drops. there’s a reason succession sundays was a blast on here

It is! I was the stage manager for the 2017 and 2018 seasons. And I adopted a little boy from the show as well (he’s not in this video, he was in the beginning of the show)
His name is LOGAN and he is a GENTLEMAN
my little baby kitten (12 years old) is in this video! She’s one of the black and white cats that jumps out of the bucket towards the end. Her name is Precious but we call her Chicken and she is living such a spoiled rotten retired life with her two annoying younger brothers and mamas.
Also above is my wifeeeeee and even though this show isn’t running anymore at Busch Gardens, it’s basically the reason my wife and I started dating so it means so much to me.
Logey passed unfortunately but he had the best life with us.

- This is actually the most hopeful thing I've read since the election. It's hard to believe we'll all be okay just because we're full of spite or we're on the right side of history. It's easy to believe Trump and his administration is a pile of venomous bucket crabs in clownshoes.
- Take that part about grifters and amateur analysts on the left seriously. Scam artists take advantage of panic and desperation, and a lot of us are feeling panicked and desperate. Also, when people are panicked and desperate, their critical thinking skills suck and they don't necessarily come to logical conclusions even when doing their best. God knows I've fallen for scams and dramatic worst case scenarios. The most important thing is to check your sources and be suspicious of dramatic appeals to emotion (though dramatic appeals to emotion don't mean something is false, either).
- Isolation fries your brain. I know there are lots of ways to wind up trapped in an isolating situation, but reach out to other people- preferably multiple groups of other people- any way you can. Volunteering is a good way to do this.
