How my OCs would react if you hurt them:

I know this is basically the entirety of my writing, but this enjoy this weird meme (I would have made it a tag game but I'm not brave enough to actually announce it as one so like, if you feel like giving neat descriptions of your OCs pain reactions, feel free, I'm curious ;))

Sam: smile at you and laugh through the pain, hoping that you'll get creeped out enough to stop (maybe)

John: try to react as little as possible in the hopes that you'll just get bored and leave

Maia: she'll find a way to hurt you back harder and make sure you never lay a finger on her again

Jacob: why would you even hurt the smol bean? he will literally start crying at the thought of pain, you monster

Tacitus: depends how much hurt, what kind, and in what context. Just a little and he’ll barely react, par for the course. His pain tolerance is a bit high. More than that, and you get the sweet conditioned submission. Eager to do whatever you want, eager to show how broken and vulnerable and obedient he is. Lots of tears.

Ariadne: will cuss you out. And retaliate, if possible, or plot grim revenge if not. She might try to play at breaking under torture, if she thinks it has a decent chance of working. Hurt her bad enough and long enough and she shuts down, disappears inside her own head, completely stops engaging.

Loiral: try to weigh up what the best strategy is and use that. More inclined to do what you say than be particularly defiant. Tears if you humiliate him - which only makes him feel worse. Will absolutely lie, manipulate, and play-act if he thinks it will help. Can’t handle really serious pain.

Marcus: probably ask you if you’re really trying. Encourage you to go further. Criticise your technique.

Camilla: shocked, alarmed, afraid. Resentful, will probably talk back, call you the fuck out on your behaviour. But will go quiet pretty fast. She’s never been seriously hurt, she wouldn’t know how to cope.

Marina: fight back, hiss, spit, cuss, laugh at you, insult you. But hit her buttons just right and she will fold.

Laval: unimpressed, resistant, very little reaction. Vex will kill you.

Vex: cussing, struggling, spitting and laughing at you. Laval will kill you.
